Impending divorce forces sale. NO RESERVE AUCTION! High bidder wins!

I am listing this car for sale for a friend of mine. He purchased this car with the full intent of keeping it. Well it's not gonna happen

OK.... car is a California car. purchased from the original owner! my friend really has not had a chance to drive this car but for around the block a couple times.

So, in essence you really will be the 2nd owner of this classic.  Car has the original 6 cyl. motor. He didn't know what size it is. they had a couple different options. If I find out what it is,. I'll post it.

He says it ran and drove well. Car has nice tires, recent paint. needs seat covers and headliner to complete restoration. But is driveable as-is. These cars are known to get 30 miles per gallon of gas.

No reason to drive a tiny toaster to get great MPG. These car have a nice ride and are simple to maintain. No computers,no transmission control modules etc etc. almost as simple as a model T.

If you have any questions, please call. 270-405-9103 ask for Donny please limit calls to the hours of 7AM to 9PM central standard time.

PS there is a parts car included.

On Jan-25-13 at 04:14:34 PST, seller added the following information:

Just a quick note here.... the parts car has a 6 cyl 3 spd automatic. I was told that it too did run. They had removed the transmission to install in the red car, but the bolt patterns were incorrect.

Also...the parts car is a 1965 model It has the taillight lenses and misc. trim in the trunk or inside the car.

Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.

Bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta hams it up for International Bacon Day

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

This is a bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta. It is a real thing, that a real, multi-billion-dollar company designed. And it isn't even April Fools' Day. Designed for International Bacon Day, which is also apparently a thing, the 2014 Fiesta is finished in Green Envy paint - we're told black paint, like the color of a skillet, made the car look camouflaged - and features 10 gigantic decals depicting strips of tender, cured bacon.
The design, which was approved by the CEO of Benton's Country Hams, Allan Benton, show off the depth of Ford's Custom Graphics program. Unbelievably, Ford will actually start offering bacon decals to everyday customers, including (and we can't believe we're writing this) dual bacon racing stripes which will no doubt have Carroll Shelby spinning and/or salivating in his grave, and a "side of bacon," which wraps a couple of strips over the rear wheels.
Benton, who Ford claims is the King of Bacon, had this to say: "This car just makes so much sense." The Fiesta's marketing manager, Liz Elser added, "It's just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon."

2015 Ford Mustang GT [w/video]

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

At 50 years old, the object of fantasies, a tuner's dream, a movie star and more than nine million strong, it couldn't be truer to say that the Ford Mustang needs no introduction. This newest Mustang, however - making the biggest changes we've seen to the pony car since perhaps 1964.5 - is something Ford has been introducing all year.
We went on a Deep Dive, covered the way it looks when it was revealed, detailed the engine specs, got a ride in the EcoBoost and listened to the V8, got rolling footage and watched it do a standard-feature burnout.
The only thing left to do? Drive it. Having now done so for a few hours around Los Angeles, what we can tell you is to forget everything you know about the Mustang. This new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment.
