1964 Falcon Futura Original Miles On Title!! Clean... on 2040-cars
Bloomington, Indiana, United States
I picked this up from an older couple moving to Florida to retire. They were owners of this vehicle for many of it's years and it appears to be mostly rust free (even underneath) and has been garaged. It is (I believe) a 2 owner survivor car (all original). 92,703 actual miles (on odometer and title) with no exempt or exceeds on title, a true miles car!!! 1964 FALCON FUTURA CONVERTIBLE RED on RED leather with white top. paint looks in need of a refresh and appears to be dent and ding free. Appears to have had the paint refreshed at some point. Paint looks aged but does have some darker spots (size of a piece of corn) showing through in some spots if you look close. Interior is really nice with only a very small hole in bottom right of driver seat (again hard to see and about the size of a quarter). also left door arm rest could use recovered. Has a 4 speed manual transmission working with a straight six 170 motor. Runs and drives great and looks great. True original Futura in amazing condition. automatic top works and is new looking. Feel free to call for any questions 317-364-0165 JC before the auction ends or arrange a viewing. There is no doubt this auction is for a true collectible and for that Falcon searcher, this is one to have. Rolling footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang hits YouTube [w/video]
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Just in time for the holidays: Ford took the 2015 Mustang to Route 66 to cook up rolling footage, and we've been given some of the leftovers ahead of the meal. There are no burnouts, no donuts, no revving, and thankfully, no music. It's just two minutes and 26 seconds of the new pony car running free in the desert.
So in case you needed more visualizing help, the video below will help you start imagining how you'll look in your 2014 Christmas present to yourself...

AMC Trans Am Javelin SST, an ultra-rare underdog, is up for auction
Sat, Sep 9 2023Among the rarest of the American muscle cars that went racing in the early Seventies — cars including the Camaro Z/28 and the Boss 302 Mustang — the 1970 AMC Trans Am Javelin SST may be the most hard to find, and among the most valuable. Only 100 units of this unique Javelin were produced, and one of them is up for auction at the Mecum event in Dallas on September 20. The Trans Am Javelin was fashioned in a patriotic livery of tricolor paint — red, white and blue — and arrived after the American Motors Corporation had decided in 1968 to compete in the Trans Am racing series against Ford and General Motors. The company's chief driver, Mark Donohue, would dominate the 1971 season, taking seven wins in his Javelin AMX and that yearÂ’s SCCA Trans-Am Championship. AMC took the trophy with 82 points, well ahead of Ford's 61, Chevrolet's 17 and Pontiac's paltry 7. The example listed for auction came equipped with a 390-cubic-inch V-8 engine with 325 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 420 pound-feet of torque, power steering and brakes, dual exhaust, BorgWarner four-speed manual transmission and Hurst competition shifter. Its “ram induction system” sealed a chamber around the air filter so that cool air from the functional hood scoop would be funneled into the intake. This JavÂ’s factory price was $3,995 — a mere $32,000 or so in today's money, though it was expensive by the standards of the time. The 100 Trans Ams were among 19,714 Javelin units built in 1970, so they started out rare, and today the surviving examples are highly collectible, if and when they come up for sale. No bid estimate is available yet. Related Video: Motorsports Chevrolet Ford Pontiac Auctions Automotive History Racing Vehicles Classics
