1962 FORD RANCHERO, built 289 60 over motor,C4 auto trans with shift kit. alum.intake. 750 double pumper carb. headers, low gears,390 or 411 i'm not sure.drum brakes on all 4.I do have a set of Granada disc brake spindles and calipers that will go with the car. older paint showing some age but still very presentable no visible rust on body, the compartment behind the cab has had some rust repairs from the inside, please look at pictures. the rear fenders have had a little flair job done and the gas filler has been move to the inside of bed. runs strong,steering is tight but will need alignment.it has been changed to 5 lug all around. the interior is clean. I bought the car about 6 months ago and had been in storage for about 5 years. I changed all fluids, ,new water pump, battery,distributor,plugs,wires and rebuilt the carb. it seems to run good but have only driven a coulple miles, sounds very good with the little rumpy cam. the horn and windshield wipers do not work and there is a small crack in the windshield on the far right of the passenger side next to piller. look at pics the car has been in California since new and has the blue CA. license plates form the 1970s It is a bit of a hot rod and not your every day driver type of car it has a clear title and registered on non op. Ford recalls Explorer, Flex, Taurus for parking brakes

Ford announced a recall of nearly 8,000 vehicles spread across a broad range of models for a faulty parking brake, which might not engage fully. The automaker has not received any reports of accidents or injuries resulting from the issue. The recall affects certain examples of the 2015-16 Ford Explorer, the 2015 Taurus, and the 2015 Flex. The 2015 Lincoln MKS and MKT are also included in the campaign. The vehicles in question were assembled at the company's Chicago and Oakville (Ontario) plants from May 4 to May 23. All told, 7,165 of the affected vehicles are estimated to be in the United States, with another 799 in Canada, and a solitary example in Mexico. In order to address the issue, owners are asked to bring the affected vehicles their local dealership, where technicians will inspect the vehicle and where necessary, replace the parking brake control assembly. Ford's simple suit makes you feel like a drunk driver

We've all heard about the dangers of drunk driving for practically our entire lives. Whether it's from PSAs on TV or lectures in school, no one can claim ignorance of drunk driving being extremely dangerous. However, that doesn't prevent some people from still doing it. Ford is trying to take the safety message directly to young drivers with a special suit that allows them to simulate driving under the influence. It is all part of Ford's Driving Skills for Life program that gives free driving education to young people. The program is meant to "train kids in skills they don't learn in driver's ed," said Kelli Felker, Ford Safety Communications Manager, to Autoblog. The drivers don a few items to impair their senses and make them off-balance to simulate having a few too many drinks and then go out on a closed course with an instructor to see the effects. Felker said that the suit is a new part of the program, and Ford just received the outfit in the US. It will be incorporated into the training here in the late spring or early summer. Ford recalling nearly 5,700 2014 F-150s for power steering issue

Ford is recalling 5,675 of its 2014 F-150 pickups over an issue with the electric power steering system. There haven't been any injuries or accidents due to the issue.
Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Autoblog that the "electric power-assisted steering and motor position sensor gear were incorrectly installed by a supplier," leading to the recall.
While the recall is larger on the surface, it's important to note that only 260 trucks have been delivered to customers. The remaining pickups are currently en route to dealers. The affected vehicles were manufactured between May 26 and June 19.
