1962 FORD RANCHERO, built 289 60 over motor,C4 auto trans with shift kit. alum.intake. 750 double pumper carb. headers, low gears,390 or 411 i'm not sure.drum brakes on all 4.I do have a set of Granada disc brake spindles and calipers that will go with the car. older paint showing some age but still very presentable no visible rust on body, the compartment behind the cab has had some rust repairs from the inside, please look at pictures. the rear fenders have had a little flair job done and the gas filler has been move to the inside of bed. runs strong,steering is tight but will need alignment.it has been changed to 5 lug all around. the interior is clean. I bought the car about 6 months ago and had been in storage for about 5 years. I changed all fluids, ,new water pump, battery,distributor,plugs,wires and rebuilt the carb. it seems to run good but have only driven a coulple miles, sounds very good with the little rumpy cam. the horn and windshield wipers do not work and there is a small crack in the windshield on the far right of the passenger side next to piller. look at pics the car has been in California since new and has the blue CA. license plates form the 1970s It is a bit of a hot rod and not your every day driver type of car it has a clear title and registered on non op. Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue

Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.

Are you a new Ford Mustang SVO? [w/video]

When Ford announced that its 2015 Mustang would arrive with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, three letters came to mind: SVO. While Ford hasn't said a word regarding the rebirth of a Mustang SVO model, this latest set of spy shots shows us something very, very interesting. Allow us to explain.
The Mustang prototype in these photos looks very similar to the GT500 test cars we've spotted before - same bulging hood, aggressive front fascia and air vents aft of the front wheels. What's different, however, is around back. Have a look at the exhaust, and note that instead of the GT500's usual quad pipes, two of the exhaust outlets have been capped off.
Our spies point out that these exhaust outlets could be closed for some sort of emissions testing or another engineering reason, but it's also important to note that the engine and exhaust notes of this car sound completely different from earlier GT500 prototypes.
