You are bidding on a 1 Owner 1962 Falcon 2 Door Coupe. This car has the Original Sticker showing that the car was purchased in March of 1962 from Brown Motor Sales in Springfield, KY. The car sold for $2,302.55, the Car still has the Dealers sticker on the Bumper from when it was purchased. I just purchased the car from the Original owners Family. The Title still has the Original Owners name on it, I also have in hand from the Family a letter stating that this car was purchased New and only has 19,637 Original Miles on the Falcon. This car has been Meticulously taken care and never driven over 385 miles per year. The Condition of the Beautiful car is just Exceptional. The Owner of the Falcon purchased the car for the gas mileage, not knowing that his company was going to have  him carpool with his next door neighbors to work, They all worked for GE and it was a policy to carpool together to the plant. His wife not able to drive a manual 3 speed, never drove the car. They kept the car and drove it sparingly since they had another vehicle. Please look very carefully at the photos, this car is Extremely nice, it looks like it came off the Showroom floor. The Interior is perfect no flaws what so ever, No rips or tears anywhere, Carpet is in great Shape, Headliner is very Nice, Door panels look New, Seats are Gorgeous, they ordered the seats to be covered and they still are, wow what a great decision. Keep in Mind that this Falcon has been Garaged for 51 Years. Everything works properly as it should, Every year it had its usual Oil Change to keep it Lubricated. The body is Straight as an Arrow and still has the original Paint Job, Looks Great with a Strong Shine to It. Raven Black (Stunning). The undercarriage is in Perfect condition and solid no rust anywhere on this car. This Falcon Runs Fantastic, I have the Original Falcon Owners Manual showing the Owners name and Date Purchased. You can take this car and Cruise on the Highway at 75 mph very comfortably. When I purchased the Car, all I did was put New Tires on it and gave it a Brake Job since it has never had one. Its a real Joy to Drive and Sure makes me Proud to know that this is a 1 owner car with Only 19,637 Original miles on it. If you live in the Dallas area you  may see the car anytime during the Auction. Just email me to set up an appointment, this car is in my Garage here at home in Plano, Texas. Production Ford Escort heading for Beijing

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Ford's long-dormant Escort nameplate returned affixed to a sedan concept at last year's Shanghai Motor Show. While not exactly a beauty, it showed a clean, straightforward take on Ford's current styling. The Blue Oval said at the time that it wanted to create a model that was stylish "but not one that is arrogant or pretentious." Job done. A year later, it looks like the minimalist vehicle might make its production debut at the Beijing Motor Show.
Autocar claims that the streetgoing version has been confirmed to it for the upcoming show, but so far, Ford isn't saying. If unveiled, the Escort is likely to be produced locally for the Chinese market with a domestic partner. Powertrain details remain a secret, but it seems highly likely that any production model would use a small three- or four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Sales in other major world markets like ours are unlikely, but a test car was recently spotted in Europe.
Autoblog contacted Ford for confirmation, but the automaker demurred, with a spokesperson saying only, "At the moment, we are not confirming any vehicles planned for the show." It looks like we will have to wait to know for sure.

Chris Harris checks out Ken Block's Hoonicorn '65 Mustang

Thu, Dec 4 2014

Ken Block's Hoonicorn, which stars in Gymkhana Seven, might still bear a passing resemblance to a vintage 1965 Ford Mustang, but underneath the skin, the car is one of the baddest custom machines to ever do a smoky burnout on the road. The ever enthusiastic British auto journalist Chris Harris is now showing what really makes Block's new ride tick on video, and Harris even gets to go for quite a ride. The only Mustang components really left on the Hoonicorn are the A-pillar, B-pillar and roof, according to Harris. Everything else is ditched to create Block's ultimate Gymkhana tool. The 845-horsepower, 6.7-liter Rousch Yates V8 sits behind the front axle, and the grunt is routed to all four wheels through a Sadev gearbox usually found on Dakar Rally vehicles. The whole drivetrain is packed with cool little touches; like that giant handbrake that also disconnects power from the front wheels when in use. The superlatives about the Hoonicorn could go on forever, but settle in and let a very excited Harris tell you about just some of them. He's like a kid in a candy store here, and the look that combines surprise, fear and joy during his ride with Block is the kind that lacks a suitable word in the English language.

What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
