48,547 miles 3 speed manual transmission Minimal rust. I've spent plenty of time underneath the car. No rust issues or cancer spots just surface rust. Wheels: Factory 13's with Coker classic bias ply white walls. Suspension: Gabriel air shocks and 2" lowering blocks in the rear. Air adjustment is on the rear bumper above the license plate. Front is aftermarket shocks with cut springs. Ride actually isn't bad at all. While its not the best handling car it's the perfect cruiser. Engine: Factory 170 2.8 online 6 Recent holley 1904 carb New rubber fuel hose wrapped in DEI heat shield above the header to prevent vapor lock New air cleaner setup New 95 mustang 5.0 3G alternator New battery New accel ignition coil All new grounds and power supply wires are matching 4gauge New starter New starter solenoid New V-belt Recent oil change Coolant flush New brake fluid New 3-row radiator(hoses were checked and in good shape) Full exhaust replaced last year New header gaskets and exhaust bung for the wideband Interior: Working factory radio with Boston acoustic speakers and tweeters hidden under the dash. Hidden gauges in the glove box consist of: New innovate LM-1 Voltage Oil pressure Coolant temperature All are installed and functioning although its picking up the signal from the factory sending units. I have the aftermarket sending units included and could be installed easily in place of factory with fitting adapters at a hardware store. Carpet was replaced last year All new bulbs in the gauge cluster New flasher behind the cluster forgot if it was for the coolant or gas gauge. Nice floor mats front and rear New white ostrich print door cards very cool and classy look. Original door cards will be provided. All lights work but sometimes the turn signals act up but that can be fixed before the sale because when I removed the front signals I believe a bulb was burnt out when I removed them so new bulbs should fix it. Exterior: Previous owner stated it was painted 2 years ago. It's basically flat blue with gloss and flaked white roof. Factory roof rack (rare) Hand pinstriping on the hood, front fenders, tail gate and dash all done by some famous artist honestly the PO told me and I forgot before I could write down his name. Very nice quality work. The rear window does work and is power either by key or interior button. All windows work as should buy the driver window could use new rollers they are like $1.99 each and 6 per window if I remember correctly. Functions as is when you roll the window down past about 4 inches to the bottom it drops the rest of the way. You can use 2 fingers to pick it back up if u pull it back to the 4 inch mark it'll roll up on its own. I know a lot about this car as I've spent countless hours researching and working on the car. I know it inside and out so any questions feel free to ask. Also have most receipts from stuff I purchased and the exhaust work I had done. These will be given to the buyer as most items carry a warranty. Serious inquiries only. |

Trucks, SUVs — and Camry — shine in mixed U.S. January vehicle sales
Thu, Feb 1 2018DETROIT — Automakers posted mixed U.S. new vehicle sales data for January, with American consumers continuing to abandon passenger cars for the larger pickup trucks, SUVs and crossover models that manufacturers also love because they are far more profitable. Total industry auto sales for the month rose 1 percent versus January 2016. According to Autodata Corp, which tracks industry sales, the seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) of U.S. car and light truck sales in January fell to 17.12 million units from 17.44 million a year earlier. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a January SAAR of 17.2 million units. U.S. auto industry sales fell 2 percent in 2017 to 17.23 million vehicles after hitting a record high in 2016 and are expected to drop further in 2018 despite a solid economy. Interest rates are rising and around 4 million late-model used cars will return to dealer lots this year to compete with more expensive new ones. Automakers have used consumer discounts to boost sales, a growing concern for observers who say this undermines resale values and profits. Discounts declined in January, but remained above 10 percent of manufacturers' recommended prices. ""I think the industry has accepted that (sales) volumes will fall somewhat in 2018 ... and I don't think the industry is going to go over the cliff with insane incentives," Mike Jackson, chief executive officer of AutoNation Inc, told Reuters after his company, the largest U.S. auto retail chain, posted a higher quarterly net profit. Mark Wakefield, head of the North American automotive practice for consultancy AlixPartners, had a gloomier perspective. The industry's less-than-stellar sales performance for January showed "we are now past the peak," he said. "Automakers are now selling the deal instead of the vehicle," he said. "That's a tough spot to be in because that treadmill is hard to get off once you're on it." General Motors January sales rose 1.3 percent, driven by a 16 percent rise in fleet sales. Sales to consumers fell 2.4 percent. GM posted strong gains for models such as the Silverado pickup truck and Equinox crossover model, while its passenger cars continued to struggle. Ford The Blue Oval posted a 6.6 percent sales decline for January, with retail sales down 4.3 percent. Sales of Ford's F-Series pickup trucks - America's best-selling vehicle brand for decades — rose 1.6 percent. Passenger cars were down more than 23 percent.
Three automotive tech trends to watch in 2018 and beyond
Thu, Dec 28 2017Every year, technology plays a bigger and bigger role in the auto industry. To put things in perspective, 10 years ago iPod integration and Bluetooth were cutting-edge in-car innovations, and smartphones and apps weren't yet a thing since the first iPhone was only about six months old. And I can't recall anyone talking about autonomous cars. Compare that to today, with mainstream coverage of the auto industry dominated by autonomous technology, along with electrification and almost every move made by Tesla. These three topics were the most significant trends of car tech in 2017 and I believe they will continue to shape the auto industry in 2018 and beyond. Let's examine them. Full Autonomy Gets Closer to Reality While there were many developments this year that indicate we're inching closer to fully autonomous vehicles, I was behind the wheel for hours to witness one of them. In October I had the chance to test Cadillac Super Cruise on a 700-mile, 11-hour drive from Dallas to Santa Fe – and had my hands on the wheel for maybe 45 minutes max throughout the entire trip. Super Cruise is far from making the Cadillac CT6 or any GM vehicle fully autonomous, and has limitations such as functioning only on pre-mapped main highways. While it simply adds a layer of lane centering to adaptive cruise control, the technology will go a long way in making mainstream drivers more comfortable with letting machines take over. On a separate front, GM is pushing ahead with fully autonomous vehicles and announced last month that it plans to launch of fleets of self-driving robo-taxis in several urban areas in 2019. While most automakers are also in the race to make autonomous cars a reality, GM's turbocharging of its efforts appeared to be in response to Waymo, which announced just weeks earlier that its Early Rider Program in the Phoenix area would go completely driverless. The Early Rider Program launched last April, offering the public a chance to ride in Waymo's autonomous Chrysler Pacifica minivans. In this new phase of testing, Waymo is using its own employees as guinea pigs instead of the public while the vehicles operate without a human behind the wheel, and takes another giant step forward for fully autonomous driving.
