up for bid is a 1961 ford falcon mild custom.

All original drive train with the straight 6 cylinder and automatic transmission with less thank 90,000 miles..  engine has had a basic tune up.. plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fluids change ect. and a brand new fuel pump.  runs good but needs some minor carb tuning.   Once again is all original so does have the occasional drip of oil ect.   Transmission shifts good,  brakes have been gone thru with mostly all new brake lines and hardware kits.. stops great but could use adjusted up a little as they rub a tad.

body has had rust panels cut out and new metal welded in.. reshaped rear wheel wells, custom made steel front and rear roll pans and all moldings and emblems shaved and removed.  all trim ect comes with the car as does many extra parts and pieces.

has a soft spot in the drivers side floor board about the size of a coffee can that I haven't gotten around to replacing yet..  car has been painted 2012 mini cooper green metallic and left in a matte finish.. I did clear the grille and headlight bezels.  interior is all original with the exception of felt covers made to hide wear and tear on dash and seats.

car rolls on custom spacers and 18 inch Honda wheels and decent tires.. stock tires and wheels also go with the car.  suspension is stock and untouched.

car is not bullet straight but is a very fun cheap fuel efficient weekend cruiser or custom daily driver as that's what I used it for.   Hate to sell it but time to pay attention to some of my other projects.   This is a no reserve auction but can end early as I have this listed locally as well.  Car is as is with no warranty and has clean and clear title.

buyer pays for shipping or can make arrangments for pickup or delivery.

Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes

Thu, 10 May 2012

When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.

Ford Focus ST, Fiesta ST buyers to get free Octane Academy driving school

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

The Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST have created plenty of excitement in the sport compact segment, and Ford is looking to make sure that owners are driving and enjoying their cars to the best of their abilities. As an added bonus for buying one of these sporty hatchbacks, Ford will provide a complimentary ST Octane Academy session to be held at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
Attendees will be responsible for travel and lodging, but Ford will provide the driving school free of charge. Included in this two-day trip, ST owners will get class instruction and driving instruction in prepped Focus ST and Fiesta ST models on the track and autocross course. Some karting action will also be involved as will a tour of Ken Block's Hoonigan Racing headquarters located nearby. If this doesn't sound like enough fun, there is also an optional day of activities that includes some more track time in a Mustang GT and off-road instruction in an F-150 SVT Raptor.
Ford told us that those who have already purchased a Focus ST or Fiesta ST will still be able to attend the performance driving school, but the press release, which is posted below, makes it sound like it applies to original owners only. Ford has yet to announce its schedule for the ST Octane Academy or prices for additional activities or guests.

Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.
