For sale is this very clean 1961 Ford Falcon. She comes with a terrific sounding built 302. Got a cam, port and polished heads, brand new 650 Edelbrock carb, hooker headers, flow master exhaust, Cal tracs rear suspension, front disc breaks, electric fuel pump with kill switch, and brand new C4 transmission with converter, a one year warranty, and all new lines. This car has had alot of money put into it in the last 2 months. About 6 grand worth. Here is a list of all the new items. Front and back seats, door panels, carpet, headliner, weatherstrip, steering wheel, gauges, tachometer, seat belts, floor mats, Torque thrust wheels, bfg tires, C4 tranny, B&M shifter, carb, flushed radiator, chrome radiator over flow, air cleaner, plugs, belts, hoses, fluids, etc. Probably forgetting about something. All the trim on this car looks fantastic and has been freshly polished. The front bumper looks good but the back bumper has some chipping of the chrome you can see in the video. The paint is an older job and does have some chipping here and there but overall still shines up nice. The car sits just right and sounds bitchen. Has a real nice cam sound. All the glass is original except the front windshield and is in great condition. The speedometer is not currently hooked up and the gas gauge does not work. Cluster looks newer so I'm guessing it probably just needs some wiring. Has aftermarket gauges under the dash that all work. All the lights work including the dome. The car starts right up, drives straight, stops on a dime, and is really fast. She weighs only about 2300 pounds and is pushing about 400 horsepower. Take a look at the video. You can call me with any questions. Thanks, Mike (714)264-7941 http://youtu.be/UnQgVPBlLkQ

2013 Ford Mustang V6
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Secretary Trim, Evolved
There was a time not so long ago when opting for a base Ford Mustang meant getting little more than some sheetmetal, an anemic four-cylinder engine and what may very well have been the world's most disappointing automatic transmission. During the Fox Body years, Ford seemed hell-bent on living up to Carroll Shelby's derogatory description of the coupe as little more than a runabout for demure office assistants, and the result was a base model with fewer sporting intentions than a Dilbert day calendar.
Some 20 years later, hopping behind the wheel of an entry-level pony is an entirely different experience. With all of the menacing aesthetics of the brawnier GT, a well-equipped interior and a drivetrain that toes the line between efficiency and power better than few before it, the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 is an attractive option for buyers in the big coupe market. But is it attractive enough to forgo the beastly GT?
Ford defends plan to shareholders: ‘We're simply reinventing the American car’
Fri, May 11 2018Ford's top executives took heat from shareholders over their plan to do away with sedans as we know them in Ford's North American lineup, as the company held its annual meeting Thursday. Critics said the plan to shelve the Fiesta, Focus and Taurus, reduce the Focus to one crossover model, and concentrate on high-margin trucks and SUVs was a shortsighted abandonment of entire market segments of affordable vehicles. "This doesn't mean we intend to lose those customers," Ford CEO Jim Hackett said. "We want to give them what they're telling us they really want. We're simply reinventing the American car." Ford has said SUVs/crossovers and pickups will constitute 90 percent of its North American lineup by 2020. And though only the Mustang and new Focus Active will remain, it plans to add new vehicles going forward that offer better fuel economy and utility, including EVs and hybrids. Hackett characterized the shift not as an abandonment of traditional cars but as a transformation of them. "We don't want anyone to think we're leaving anything," Hackett said. "We're just moving to a modern version. This is an exciting new generation of vehicles coming from Ford." It was Hackett's first annual meeting as CEO, and for the second year it was conducted online rather than in person. The change to Ford's lineup is part of Hackett's overall plan to cut $25.2 billion in costs by the year 2022. Executive Chairman Bill Ford Jr. blamed the negative reaction to the lineup plan on media coverage. "I wish the coverage had been a little different," he said. "If you got beyond the headline, you'll see we're adding to our product lineup and by 2020 we'll have the freshest showroom in the industry. The headlines look like Ford's retreating. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth." While Ford was clear about its plans for the Blue Oval, it has been less clear about the Lincoln brand. Hackett on Thursday said only that the Lincoln Continental, re-introduced just two years ago, would continue "through its life cycle" — but it has been such a slow seller that rumor has Ford killing the Continental again after that, and Hackett made no mention of a new generation. Presumably the MKZ sedan will go away when its twin the Ford Fusion does, but although Ford has outlined end dates for other models, the Fusion's departure is open-ended. The stock price has been a frustration for investors for years and has fallen 12 percent since the first of the year.
