1961 Ford Falcon 302 V8 5 Speed New Seat Covers Carpet Door Panels Patina Look on 2040-cars
Bremen, Georgia, United States
Here is a very kool 1961 Ford Falcon. It's got a 5.0 Liter 302 engine with a 5 speed manuel transmission in it from a 1989 mustang. The compressor is there just like it was in the 1989 mustang it came out of but car does not have A/C. It would be easy to finish putting A/C in it if you choose to. The heat blows. The drum brakes are in great shape and they were just cleaned and adjusted and stop great. It has No power steering but it honestly don't need it. It tracks straight and the steering wheel is centered when you are going straight. This 5.0 Liter 302 runs very strong and the 5 speed transmission shifts good with no grinding. Clutch is new and feels great. The battery is brand new and has been relocated to the trunk. The front tires are 13 inch and the rear tires are 14 inch. The hubs are still 4 lug hubs. The wheels are steelie wheels painted red to match the interior with the small dish hubcaps. It still has the Original paint except I just had the hood and trunk lid painted but it still has that Patina look. The body is solid with only surface rust and I had it sprayed with Clear to protect it. The interior has New black carpet & New Red vinyl bench front and back. The door panels are new and dash look good. The wipers work. All lights work including headlights, taillights, blinkers and brake lights. It still has its original suspension but it is still a great driver!! The floors and truck are solid. I took pics of the undercarriage as it was when I got then before I cleaned it up and undercoated it to make it look better. You don't see many 61 Falcons around and the ones you find still have the original 6 cylinder engines in them. PRICED TO SELL!!
I reserve the right to end auction early if car sell locally. Pre Sale Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. Cool Car that runs out good. Great driver as is or have painted. I like the patina look but it would not cost alot to have painted. Clear title in hand. Any questions please ask. Nothing to hide here. I have tryed to descripe this car as honest as possible. |

Ford Focus ST diesel estate in track showdown with Focus ST hatch
Sun, Jan 18 2015Diesel hot hatches are still a concept that's gaining ground. Obviously, there are none for sale in the US, but European buyers have the choice of at least the Volkswagen Golf GTD and Ford Focus ST Diesel. What better way to find out how the new, high-performance oil-burner really stacks up than for Ford to stage a race against the gasoline-fueled Focus ST? On paper, the ST Diesel is at a big performance detriment here. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder makes 182 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque compared to 247 hp and 266 lb-ft for the gas version in this race. However while not a factor for this race, the oil-burner does offer better fuel economy and produces less CO2, which makes a difference for European buyers. Ford skews the race results by giving the ST Diesel Estate a two-second head start for this one-lap battle around the Castle Combe Circuit. Also, this is a video from the Blue Oval, which is going to further minimize the appearance of weakness for its vehicles. Still, both STs really get to show off their strengths, and it's worth seeing how the sibling rivalry shakes out at the finish line.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars
Wed, 30 Jul 2014The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
