Here is a real 1966 Ford Fairlane GTA.  This is a very cool car with a lot of potential!

I have the original GT hood with chrome inserts.  I just keep it in basement for safe keeping.

It is missing the motor and transmission.

It still has the nine inch rear end housing but the gears are missing.

It is a solid car but will need some body work.  It needs a whole quarter panel on the drivers side, some rust is in the trunk, the floors are solid but will need two very small areas fixed under the back seat.  The drivers side front fender has a dent but I am including a nice fender with the car to replace it.  The drivers side door was replaced because of damage but the door tag was put back on the car (the vin number is also stamped on the frame of the car ... don't worry).

All the glass is good.

I have the front and rear bumpers with the brackets, good set of taillights, chrome trim around windshield, and other things.

I have all new interior for this car I just haven't installed it.  Included are headliner, carpet, front and rear door panels, and new seat covers.  The rear seat has been covered as well as one of the front seats.  The other front seat has not been covered yet.  I have chrome to go around bucket seats.  I also have a good console with the floor shifter and rod to connect to transmission.

I have an instrument panel from a 1967 fairlane to go with this car.  It looks the same as the 66 fairlane but it has small bezels around the gas guage and clock.

Feel free to call 8017860200 if any ?'s.

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.

2014 Ford Fusion order guide reveals new base Hybrid model, equipment changes

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

We've gotten our grubby little digits on the dealer order guide for the as-yet-unreleased 2014 Ford Fusion thanks to an anonymous tipster, and while there isn't much that's unexpected, there are some meaningful equipment changes to report after the rakish sedan's first year on the market.
Mechanically, the big news is, of course, the recently confirmed availability of the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder paired with a six-speed automatic. The powertrain replaces the 1.6-liter automatic setup of 2013, though if you want a manual transmission, you'll still get the extra .1-liter of displacement.
On the equipment front, there are newly available rear inflatable seatbelts - as seen previously on the Explorer - along with a new heated steering wheel and cooled seat option on Titanium and Titanium Hybrid models (the latter two options will be late availability).
