This is a very cool little Ford 66 Fairlane 500 4-speed convertible. The car was parked 10 years ago and stored inside . We changed the oil and with some minor brake bleeding  and fresh fuel it fired right up and drove around the building. We currently are running the engine from a 1 gallon jug because the tank needs flushed . The power top works great but the black canvas is torn  and needs replaced . The car appears to have one repaint with some rust showing in the left rear quarter in front of the tire and front and rear drivers side floors are rusted out. The passenger floors seem pretty solid. The trunk drop offs ,trunk pan, rocker panels, frame rails, rear quarter wheel lips , and all other vital areas seem very solid and intact . The paint is dead and faded with chips and peeling and old faded finish. The interior is tired but very complete . The car shifts great and the engine runs very well . The car appears to have came as a AC car but compressor is gone from the engine. The 289 is a 2bbl engine with a 4-speed trans . I have a clean up to date title for the car and the car is located 15 minutes west of Oklahoma City in Mustang Oklahoma zip 73064.... serious buyers can call or text 405-473-3204    thanks

Jay Leno's Garage goes eco with Ricardo HyBoost

Mon, 17 Mar 2014

"Now before you turn away, this is not another boring hybrid car thing..." Despite the slightly defensive introduction from Jay, the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage is actually pretty fascinating. The Ricardo HyBoost is a 2009 Ford Focus that has had a 1.1-liter engine swapped in for the stock 2.0-liter four. That might not get you performance enthusiasts out there fired up, until, that is, you hear that the 1.1L is also fed by both a turbocharger and an electrically driven supercharger for an instant-on "torque-fill" effect. Sounds about right, considering that Ricardo engineering is part of the genius behind the McLaren P1.
Perhaps most exciting of all, the Ricardo folks say that the package should run somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,100. A sort of performance-hybrid that makes sense for the frugal driver and the enthusiast one, then. There's a lot more to the HyBoost, all of which can be seen in the video below.

Ford dominates most-stolen SUV list

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The Ford Escape leads the NICB's list with 1,421 examples stolen.
If you drive a recent Ford SUV or crossover, you may want to keep a watchful eye out for thieves - especially if you live in the New York metro area or in Detroit. A new study from the National Insurance Crime Bureau has named three Ford models as the most likely vehicles in their genre to be stolen, with CUVs in general being especially attractive to bandits.
