1965 Fairlane 500 tudor sport coupe. factory 289 high performance four speed the drive line is long since gone but the car does have 18,000 original miles. the drivers side floor pan is in bad shape as you can see, the car was stripped of most of it's paint at some point and left to sit which has turned the whole car to rust, the hood and the trunk also will need to be replaced. The lips are rusty, the rear pillar on the drivers side also has rust the owner cut a hole from the outside to try and repair it. The car is an original k code four speed as best as i can find it is one of only 100 1965 fairlanes produced with a 289 hipo engine package. The car will need a complete restoration, but it is a low milage hipo car.
This car was intended to be a father son project for a friend and his son. Sadly dad passed on and the son doesn't have the time or money to finish this project alone so it must go to help cover some of his father's final expenses. Please take this rare car back to it's prime, as I would hope my friend can see her form above.
This car was disassembled to paint and forgotten

Thu, 05 Dec 2013Here at Autoblog, we've officially stamped December 5, 2013, as Ford Mustang Day. Sure, the sixth-generation Pony Car started leaking out onto the web days ago, but all of the official, non-embargoed hotness has come out today. And man, there's been a lot.
In terms of new car debuts, this is a really big one - not unlike all of the Corvette madness that kicked off the 2013 automotive season. So to make sure you haven't missed anything, here's a wrap-up of everything you need to know about the 2015 Ford Mustang.

Ford recalls 83k Taurus and crossover models for halfshaft issue
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Ford and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued a recall for some 83,250 vehicles in the US, for an issue with halfshafts. More specifically a "halfshaft retention circlip" might not have been properly installed on affected vehicles, with the result being halfshafts that may move improperly or disengage completely from the linkshaft while driving. The NHTSA release also notes that the issue may occur "without prior warning" which obviously factors in to the timeliness of getting this checked.
Should the halfshaft disengage, a few troubling things could happen. If it occurs while driving, power from the engine will no longer be transmitted to the wheels. And, if the vehicle is parked without the parking brake applied after disengagement of the circlip, vehicles may roll away even if they're transmissions have been placed in "Park."
Affected vehicles are as follows: Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX crossovers from model years 2012 to 2014; Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS sedans from model years 2013 to 2014; Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT vehicles from model years 2013 to 2014.
