Great survivor car. 82k original miles, new 289 V8, recent cruise-o-matic transmission, 9" rearend, new mid length headers, new exhaust fron to back, new radiator, edelbrock intake and carb. Engine compartment was cleaned and detailed while motor was out. Runs and drives very well. new front brakes and master cylinder. 275/60/15 bfg tires in the rear on factory ford 15" steel wheels, 14" in front.  The interior is 100% original and never replaced. The only bad spot is the driver seat area and is show in pictures. headliner is still great, door panels are exellent. Has heater box delete, Crites shock tower kit professionally welded in and smoothed. Aftermarket adjustable strut rods in the front.

it appears to have been repainted once in its life and could use it again to be super nice, however has a nice original look to it now and is very useable. Motor is a 65 289 that was rebuilt recently along with the transmission. Suspension was checked out and anything needing replacement for dependable daily driving was replaced.

There is ZERO rust issues on this car. There is a link to a photobucket account with over 100 pictures. Please take the time to look them over as I spent alot of time to get any picture I thought a potential buyer may want to see.  Probably the most solid fairlane for sale under 15k right now. Has a few tasteful modifications that we did in preperation for a thunderbolt clone. For those of you wanting to do a clone this is the correct body and trim style to start with. Hard to find in exellent condition and able to be driven anywhere with new motor/cooling/trans etc... Fun car to drive and gets alot of attention. Glass is all good, wiring is exellent, all locks work, turn signals lights etc. work. Carries a CLEAN california title.

We take time is writing our description and taking pictures so buyers can fully understand the condition of the car they are bidding on. We ask for a smooth transaction from the buyer as we strive to provide a exellent ebay experience for our buyers.   the car is availible anytime for inspection either in person or by a third party.  We welcome overseas buyers and have plenty of experience in handling such transactions.  Feel free to send us a message through ebay with any questions.  Car is sold as is, where is. located in Sacramento California and is for sale locally subject to sale prior to end of auction.

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.

Old vs. new debate gets new life with $25,000 Fiesta ST vs. E46 M3 showdown

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

You know who you are. There's probably a few of you reading; the ones that say, "Why would I spend $27,000 on a new Mazda MX-5 when I could get a used Chevrolet Corvette with more power." Yes, we're talking to you, used car proponents. While it is a fair argument, it's not like used cars don't come with drawbacks of their own, though.
In an attempt to put this new-versus-used argument to bed once and for all, Matt Farah of the The Smoking Tire has picked up a pair of $25,000 cars - a used, but lightly modified, 2003 BMW M3 and a 2013 Ford Fiesta ST. Naturally, there's a comparison.
Farah, as he's wont to do, does get into the nitty gritty of what each car is like to drive, and discusses the merits of used and new-car shopping. But as he rightly points out while testing the M3, "So, it is a good car. But like any used car, it really does depend on the individual car."
