1957 ford fairlane 500 skyliner
this car has been sitting at a farm in my town since 1969. the prior owner didnt drive it much and i assume that it is original mileage. the car is very rough and should be considered as parts only. its very rotted. i jacked the car way up and from what i can see the frame is actually solid and in good shape but you should look at it better. i took the rims off that are pictured and put on some that hold air to get it off the ground moreso. the car looks to be pretty much intact but i notice the power steering pump is missing but the bracket and belt are still there. i do still have what i believe to be the original rims that i will include in the sale(5 of them). the hubcaps disappeared since me pulling them off. the town and country is also missing. it looks like the glass is tinted. i have opened 3 of the 4 windows with no issues. this car should be treated as parts only. i am working on an old registration from the prior owner. this car was last registered 30 years before titles were standard. it shouldnt be an issue for an old excise tax bill or registration. i will know better during the week. ive got about 15 pictures that im up loading.
power steering
power brakes
looks like it has a 9" rear axle
it looks like the car might have been red originally
black and white interior

Ford builds USAF Thunderbirds Edition Mustang for charity
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Each year since 2008, Ford has created a one-off Mustang to celebrate military aviation, and the cars have been auctioned off at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Gathering of Eagles charity event to raise money to inspire the next generation of aviators. This year's charity car is the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, which also helps celebrate 60 years of Thunderbirds air show excellence.
Of all the EAA charity cars, this Thunderbirds Edition is the most in depth. Painted to match the F-16 Tomcat fighter jets used by Thunderbirds, this Mustang also gets a widebody kit and 22-inch Forgiato wheels to go with the cockpit's Recaro bucket seats, rear-seat delete and modified navigation screen and gauge cluster. Even the Mustang's projector puddle lights have been changed to show an aircraft silhouette - rather than the Mustang's galloping horse logo - when the doors are open.
Themes for previous EAA charity cars include the Blue Angels, SR-71 Blackbird and the Red Tails as well as the F-22 Raptor-inspired AV8R and AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll" models. Scroll down for the press release for the 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition, and be sure to check out our galleries for all six aviation-themed Mustangs.
TRANSLOGIC 147: CES 2014 Autonomous Vehicles
Wed, Jan 15 2014We head back to CES in Las Vegas to check on the progress of autonomous vehicles in 2014. We go hands-free on the highway with Audi, narrowly avoid a collision with Ford and hear all about BMW's drifting driverless car. But first we take a ride on Induct's self-driving Navia shuttle.
Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack
Sat, May 30 2015With a slightly larger body and a more luxurious interior, the Mercury Cougar doesn't carry quite as much cachet among pony car enthusiasts as the venerable Ford Mustang. But don't try to make that argument around Cougar super-fan Mike Brown. Since starting his Cougar collecting in 1988, Brown has become an absolute expert on the model, and he claims to have owned 400 of the Mercury pony cars in that time. Ten of them are in his collection today, not to mention a heap of spare parts in the garage. Check out some of the rarer members of Brown's fleet and allow him to tell you about them in this interesting interview from Electric Federal.
