This auction is for a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500. Car runs and drives but has not been on the road for 2 years. I purchased this car with the intentions to restore it but just do not have the time. That's why it has been sitting for 2 years I work too much. Car is in good shape for it's age. it is a nice solid car frame and floors are solid no rust issues. Car has had body work done to it in the past and it is starting to show in a couple places. The car has spent its entire life in upstate NY. Trunk is solid. runs well just has not been used for 2 years so it'll need a tune up and such from sitting. Has a 292 Y block V8 and automatic transmission. odometer reads 86612. There is no title for cars this old in New York State. A $500 non refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction ending the balance will be due upon pick up of car. I will not ship the car but will assist you in any way I can if you arrange shipping.

Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. How Ford's light lab keeps the sun shining on the new Mustang just right [w/video]
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Anyone who's bought one of those old school metal shift knobs knows they're really cool until they sit in a parking lot in the sun for a few hours. Then they're not cool at all. Likewise, features such as the aluminum dash on the 2015 Ford Mustang can be all kinds of neat right up until the sun hits it just the right way and sends shards of blinding light through the cabin. The Ford Visual Performance and Evaluation Lab is where engineers figure out how to make sure that doesn't happen.
Cars like said Mustang are parked inside the 30-foot reflecting dome under 6,000 watts of lights that can mimic the sun at any time of day and in any weather condition. Engineers can then spend cold, overcast days inside, testing for interior legibility, glare and reflections on every interior and exterior surface as if it were bright and sunny. They can also learn how a car's sheetmetal and colors will look out of doors, all year round.
