Up for auction is a 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria Restomod. A pretty rare find as it has a great stance, it is a consistent trophy winner, rides great but not mushy like the originals, fast when you want it to be.

Body:

This car is in great shape due to the previous owner replacing any rusted sheet metal with new panels, fully redone interior and a very respectable paint job, the original front cross member (prone to rust in these cars) has been professionally replaced with a new (thicker metal) reproduction one, that is the Resto part of the Restomod.

The external trim and door handles have been shaved and door and trunk electric poppers have been installed with hidden keyed opener (including an emergency manual door release in case of power failure) the front windows are power with a (Dakota Digital) remote for the passenger side.  The smoothie rims and baby moon hubcaps are 6 years new as are all four tires.

Interior:

The interior is in perfect shape no tears or worn spots, and features customized T-bird bucket seats, new carpet; all interior moldings have been powder coated, padded custom dash with CD player and 500 Watt (Boss) amp.

Drivetrain:

The Modifications are numerous; the mechanicals are mostly 1976 Gran Torino, they include the rebuild 351 Windsor engine with (Edlebrock) Performer manifold, Performer Camshaft and kit, (Edlebrock) 600 CFM electric choke carburetor, C4 transmission and an  8 Inch rear end, the exhaust features Flowmaster mufflers with 1970 Mustang concourse tips. The car has power Rack and Pinion steering (Fatman Fabrications) attached to a Gran Torino tilt steering column. The car has power brakes with (Fatman Fabrications) Granada front disc conversion.

Except when at shows or on cruises the car has always been garaged. There is a construction book that goes along with the car and some of it’s numerous trophies.

Car is being sold as is. The winning bid is the final price. A $500.00 deposit due at auction close.  Buyer is responsible for all Shipping/Transport charges and arrangements; seller will assist with pickup if required. Sorry no trades or early closing.

Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?

Sun, Jul 9 2023

The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric.  Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands.  If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla.  Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor.  Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have:  Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.

2015 Ford F-150 enters production

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

Ford has given the F-150 a dramatic makeover for 2015, switching to an aluminum body that helps reduce weight by about 700 pounds. Because the truck is dramatically different, Ford also had to change the way it makes the F-150, so we went inside its sprawling factory in Dearborn, MI, this week to see the Blue Oval's new manufacturing techniques in action.
The company has added 850 jobs at the site and upgraded its stamping and tool and die facilities. The body shop is also modernized, and it has been fitted with 500 new robots that join the structures together. The first 2015 F-150 rolled off the line on Tuesday, and the trucks will begin arriving in dealerships in December. Get a closer look at the F-150's unique assembly process in our video.

California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird

Wed, Sep 3 2014

A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For
