1956 Ford Fairlane 2 Door Post Sweet Cruiser! on 2040-cars
Trenton, Florida, United States
Good day! I am selling this 1956 Ford Fairlane for a friend, her husband was building the car when he passed away.
He had over 20 vehicles in his collection, this one was so near completion, we decided to finish it. The car is equipped with a 340 Buick engine, that has been mildly built, with custom headers, aftermarket cam, all new internals, and an Edelbrock Carburetor. The transmission is a ST300 (Super Turbine 300) that shifts well, and has a stall converter. The rear end is a ford 9". Aluminum Radiator Aftermarket Power windows This is a clean driver car, and it runs great. The interior is in good condition, and very comfortable, with late model seats in it. The door strikers were just replaced, and new glass in the doors. Everything works as it should on this car, it just needs to be driven- by you! I have taken it to the local cruise in, and will again this Friday, if you are in the area, stop by and check it out! I would love to keep this one for myself, but I have about 6 cars already, 5 of which are in different stages of completion! Please feel free to call me anytime about the car, and I will answer any questions as quickly as possible. This car was previously listed by an employee of mine, he had insufficient information, and listed a few things improperly. Dan Beyer 352-535-5906 |

Ford to add 5,000 US jobs plus 3 plants and 23 vehicles globally
Fri, 13 Dec 2013
16 of the 23 new launches will be for the North American market.
2014 is shaping up to be a big year for Ford Motor Company, as it's announced an onslaught of 23 new global product launches which will help create 5,000 new jobs in the US. As part of the new product push, three more manufacturing plants will be opened.
Ford Australia reveals updated Territory, Falcon via Twitter
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Ford may have tied together much of its global lineup under the One Ford campaign, but one market where it still offers unique products is Australia. That will soon draw to a close as well, but before it does, the Blue Oval's Aussie operations are rolling out refreshed versions of its two unique products. For the moment, Ford isn't revealing much in the way of powertrain details, but it has shown off a couple of snaps of the revised products on its in-market Twitter feed.
First up is the new Territory. The SUV is neither based on a front-drive crossover platform nor on a truck frame, but shares its rear-drive underpinnings with the Falcon, taking it a step beyond the Falcon wagon alongside which it sits in Ford's Aussie range. Like the outgoing third-generation SZ Territory, the facelifted version is dominated by a narrow grille and larger front air dam, but further punctuates its big-chinned look with more rugged lower cladding and other metallic inserts that bring its look up to date.
And there's the Falcon, which Ford revealed in XR8 trim just last week and is now presenting in G6E spec. If the XR8 is the performance model, the G6E is the luxury version, swapping in more refined trim like a chrome-slat grille (instead of a black honeycomb), chrome foglamp surrounds, less-aggressive multi-spoke wheels (instead of five-spokes) and a flatter hood (instead of a power bulge). Otherwise, it looks essentially the same as the one we saw last week, its facelift bringing it more in line with the smaller, front-drive Mondeo (which we know here as the Fusion) and other members of the Ford family.
Ford C-Max Solar Energi takes a recharging station wherever it goes
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Companies ranging in size from small startups to major automakers have been experimenting with solar-powered charging stations for EVs and plug-in hybrids. And, of course, people have been powering vehicles with onboard solar panels for quite some time, too. Still, Ford's new C-Max Solar Energi Concept shows the promise of a truly practical implementation of solar on a production vehicle, and it may not be as far off in the future as we had thought.
As we reported a few days ago, the Solar concept makes use of a "concentrator lens" that focuses sunlight onto the Ford's roof-mounted solar panels. The special lens follows the rays of the sun to maximize the amount of charge being fed to the batteries of the car, taking about a day to fully charge the 21-mile, all-electric range of the C-Max Energi. Ford data suggests that combination might be enough to power 75 percent of all trips made by a statistically average driver. In turn, using the sun to power a vehicle could reduce yearly C02 emissions by up to four metric tons when compared with the driver of an average gasoline-powered sedan.
We've got live images of the C-Max Solar Energi Concept, jauntily tilted on its display to best present it's signature solar panels, straight from the CES floor.
