This King Ranch model combines that big truck muscle with a very nice selection of creature comforts and convenience features. This pickup has power windows, locks, and mirrors, power sliding rear window, remote entry, "Castano" leather seats, dual power seats with driver's memory, heated front seats, auto dual-zone air conditioning, AM/FM/CD changer stereo with Sirius radio and steering wheel controls, tilt wheel, cruise control, HomeLink and much more....

Other notable options include a factory trailer brake controller, auxiliary upfitter switches, trip computer with compass display, and split-folding rear seats with metal load platforms that fold down from under each seat.

Exterior features include trailering mirrors with power telescope, a tow package, bed liner, running boards, 20" King Ranch wheels, front tow hooks and fog lamps.

The 4x4 off-road package and 6.4 liter diesel motor give you the strength and power to do the job. The Off-Road package includes skid plates and an upgraded suspension, and the Powerstroke motor is rated at 350 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque with the automatic transmission - and that's before the upgrades.

This truck has a cold air intake from AFE, an EDGE Evolution Engine tuner, and a custom exhaust by MBRP. The Edge tuner can be adjusted to provide better fuel mileage or more power. Edge says it can boost power by up to 100 hp and 200 lb-ft. AFE claims 18 hp and 42 lb-ft for the intake, and the exhaust surely helps everything breathe a little better. We don't know about all of the numbers, but this truck is noticeably more responsive than the base 6.4 liter PowerStroke.

Ford readying three-row Edge for China

Fri, Nov 21 2014

The next-generation Ford Edge will be available with quite a growth spurt for its debut in China next year, with newly announced plans also to build and sell a three-row version exclusively in the People's Republic. However, markets outside of there likely won't see the larger model. Ford marketing boss (and future head of Ford of Europe) Jim Farley announced the three-row version of the crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show, according to Automotive News. To create the extra room, Ford made the Chinese-built variant about 16 inches longer than its two-row counterpart. Farley didn't specify at which of the Blue Oval's plants in the country this model would be assembled. The Explorer and forthcoming Everest already offer three rows from the Ford lineup in China, but the company thinks the market can easily support all of them. According to Farley to Automotive News, the utility segment is up 485 percent in the country since 2008. Customers in the US can still look forward to the two-row Edge hitting dealers early next year. It'll be the first model in the Blue Oval's lineup here to come standard with EcoBoost power.

Just in time for the holidays, Snowkhana 3 is here

Tue, Dec 9 2014

The gift list for the 12 Days of Christmas is frightfully heavy on birds, so surely no one will mind if we sub out the three French hens for Snowkhana 3. Ford of Europe is back with another stop-motion video that – like versions one and two – throws a 1:64-scale Ford Fiesta in Ken Block livery around a fabulous world of action figures and make believe. This year's video "drives rings around some of the biggest YouTube hits," so those of you who've lost years of your lives to the greatest distraction since the human navel can put your knowledge to use. For anyone else just catching up, we'll help you get rolling: the opening Snowkhana scene channels Stalking Cat. You'll find the rest of your holiday homework in the video.

Ford dealer gives James Robertson new 2015 Taurus

Fri, Feb 6 2015

James Robertson, the 56-year-old Detroit native famous for walking 21 miles to work each day for the last 10 years, is behind the wheel again thanks to a gift from a Ford dealer. Robertson became an Internet sensation when the story about his daily ordeal came to light, and a GoFundMe campaign initially hoped to raise $5,000 to buy him a new ride. As of this writing, it has reached over $300,000. He didn't have to dip into any of that money to buy the new car, though. According to The Detroit Free Press, Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, MI, heard about Robertson's story of never being late to work and having perfect attendance. The dealer is donating a fully loaded, red 2015 Taurus to him. It's not one of our choices, but certainly nothing to sneeze at. Robertson started walking to work in 2005 when his Honda broke down. According to the GoFundMe page, his job is about 23 miles away, but thanks to Detroit's poor bus network, he covers about 21 miles of that round-trip trek on foot each day.
