Here's the rundown on the truck:

2008 Job 2 build with all factory updates.
Oxford white.
Lariat package with dual power seats, dual climate control, 6 disk premium sound (door tweeters and subwoofer), satellite radio, power pedals, etc.  Medium Stone leather interior.
Full chrome package including factory chrome exhaust tip.
Harley Davidson edition wheels.

I specifically sought out this truck for this exact color and option package for a work truck as I don't like a work truck to look like a regular old work truck.  I like to stand apart from the crowd, so the high option Lariat package and chrome package were key.  But I also wanted a solid truck with low engine hours...  It took me 6 months to find the right truck, but I finally found this one!

I purchased the truck 4 years ago with 108k miles.  When I purchased the truck, the average speed on it was 41mph.  The truck currently has 4822 engine hours with comes out to about 39mph average.  In other words, this truck has NEVER idled excessively!  It has primarily been driven from job to job with the cruise control on.

This has been the best truck I've ever owned, and I have owned a lot of trucks!  I am selling only because I am getting into another line of work, and I simply don't have use for a truck this big anymore.

Any time something went wrong with the truck, I had it fixed immediately with all Ford parts and installed by a Ford Senior Master technician.

Prior to my buying it, the oil cooler and radiator were replaced around 90k miles.

During my ownership, I have replaced with ALL OEM PARTS:

thermostats ~140k miles
transmission fluid flush/filter ~150k miles
new AC evaporator core and heater core ~165k  AC IS ICE COLD!!!!!!!!!  heater core was fine, but figured why not replace it while the dash was out replacing the evap core
front hubs ~170k miles
all four brake calipers and rotors ~170k miles
all four shocks ~170k miles
both batteries ~170k miles

The truck was trouble free when I bought it,  but I had a free flow exhaust and H&S tuner installed for engine longevity and better fuel mileage.

Loaded down with tools, this truck will get 17-18MPG rolling down the highway!!!!!!!!!!

I also had an AFE brand cold air intake added for better air flow.  All original factory exhaust will be included with sale.  Two truck keys and a tool box key will be included (all boxes keyed the same)

That's it.  The truck is solid.  Lifetime NON-COASTAL Texas truck with ZERO rust.  I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Alaska tomorrow.  The only thing it needs is a new owner!  Make a statement when you pull up on a job site!  This truck has always gotten compliments everywhere I go in it.  I hate to see it go, but I'll be glad to see somebody enjoy it as I have.

I not only used it for my personal work, but also as a child hauler for my little girls.  They loved riding in "Daddy's Big Truck".

I'm Greg Migliore, senior editor at Autoblog with these stories and more for your Autoblog Minute weekly recap. Own a Focus ST but suffer from horsepower envy in anticipation of the Focus RS? Not a problem. A $1,900-kit from the developers at Mountune will boost your hot hatch to 275 hp and 296 pound-feet of torque, when running on 93-octane fuel. Traffic fatalities in 2015 see the largest spike in decades. The report from National Safety Council cites more drivers putting in more miles, and distracted driving as contributing to the 14-percent hike in car-related deaths. Audi plans on releasing a fully electric SUV at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to check in this Saturday for my complete weekly recap. US Ford Focus RS to be imported from Europe

Tue, 21 Oct 2014

Rumors about the forthcoming Ford Focus RS are flourishing into what sounds like a very impressive new hot hatch. The latest scuttlebutt gives the first indication about when we might see a few of these fast Focuses on roads here in the US.
Unnamed insiders reportedly confirmed to The Truth About Cars that Ford plans to launch the Focus RS in the US in 2016. However, getting one might not be so easy - the boosted powertrain means the car would likely need to be imported from Europe. That's likely going to keep the total number available in the US rather low. The sources estimate a price tag that's a bit more expensive than the top Focus ST3, which starts around $28,500, plus $825 destination.
It seems that a pretty potent package comes for all of that cash, though. The Focus RS reportedly uses a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making between 325 and 350 horsepower, with a torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system to get that muscle to the road. The test mules also wear more aggressive front and rear fascias, dual exhaust tips, larger brakes and sticky tires. It sounds like a great formula on top of the already enjoyable Focus ST.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
