You are bidding on a 2004 Ford F350XL 4x4 with a 12' flatbed dump. Automatic with A/C. All steel bed (sandblasted and epoxy painted 6 months ago) with stake pockets, 3 nylon ratchets and a breaker bar to snug things up. Heavy duty bulkhead, 2" receiver, "D" rings, electric brake controller (brand new) with an electric hydraulic hoist. V- 10 engine runs cool and smooth, no leaks, no warning lights, no problems, everything including the 4x4 works as it should. The body has a couple of small dings. One is on the driver side behind the door about the size of a golf ball and a small dent in the bumper that doesn't show up in the pictures. The rest of the paint shows normal wear and tear for a work truck of this age and mileage. The interior is clean, the seat has a tear on the drivers side that has been sewn tight. Tires are about 20% and should be replaced. Truck was just serviced with new brakes and a 60 month battery this week, This is a real workhorse with no known mechanical issues. Watch the Hennessey Ford GT makes its record run at Texas Mile
Wed, 27 Mar 2013We said they'd probably be out with an official video, we did not lie. The Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT sat at one end of the runway at the Texas Mile sitting still. At the other end of the runway it had broken its own speed record, the twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8 pushing the aerodynamic supercar up to 267.6 miles per hour, a 4.3-mph improvement over the old mark.
There's not much in the video you haven't already seen, this just makes it official. That said, who doesn't want to see a twin-turbo Ford GT set an incredible speed record? You can watch it below.
Ford's Farley apologizes for saying Blue Oval tracks customers with GPS
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Ford marketing head honcho Jim Farley made waves at CES this week by telling show attendees, "We know everyone who breaks the law, we know when you're doing it." according to a report by Business Insider. Farley continued by saying, "We have GPS in your car, so we know what you're doing. By the way, we don't supply that data to anyone."
Farley has since amended his statement, saying that Ford dose not, in fact, track its customers in their cars "without their approval or consent."
Apparently carried away with a hypothetical notion, Farley was attempting to describe how Ford might be able to employee aggregated user data for things like accurate traffic reporting and pattern spotting. A Ford spokesperson confirmed with Business Insider that its GPS units are not sharing the whereabouts of drivers, though there are a few on-board services that might do so. After opting in to the services (and presumably being made aware of any/all tracking and data collection), Ford's Sync Services Directions and Crew Chief software do, in fact, allow data collection as a means of improving both systems. Farley added that the opt-in data is not shared, even when being tracked.
Fewest vehicles ever found eligible for Most American survey
Mon, 30 Jun 2014Once again, the most American car on the market is from an American brand. The Ford F-150 retained its number one spot in Cars.com's annual survey of the most American vehicles, trumping the Toyota Camry, which remains at number two.
Ford taking the top spot is small consolation, though, as the Detroit Three aren't too well represented here. General Motors scored a win at number seven, with the Chevrolet Corvette, while Chrysler squeaked in at number ten, with the Dodge Viper. Outside of those three vehicles, Toyota and Honda dominate the top ten.
What's most remarkable, though, is that there were so few cars available for this year's list.
