The drivers seat has a tear in the seam and the passenger seat has 5 or 6 small tears in it. The back seat has 2 tears in it on the left side about the size of a quarter. The rest of the interior looks good including the dash and floor boards. The exterior has a small dent in the front bumper and a small dent behind the rear passenger door. The tailgate has a major scratch down the left side of it. The left top rail of the bed is bent down a little just behind the rear wheel. You don't notice it unless your looking for it. The rest of the body of the truck has minor scratches and scuffs due to general use. There is no bed liner in the truck so it does show dents and scratches as well. The truck has been serviced regularly every 5 to 8 thousand miles. The truck has not been chipped and does not smoke. Fully powered heated seats and powered windows."

The truck has been driven primarily by myself and occasionally by my husband.  As I said most of the miles are highway miles driven between our two farms which are a little over 100 miles apart. My husband and I are both nonsmokers. The only things that show wear on the interior of the truck are the seats. It has both back and front floor matts, no cracks in the dash. Its fully powered with heated  seats and everything works properly. All the doors open and close well with no sagging so you do not have to slam them. It rides very comfortably and quite. The truck has a fold down gooseneck hitch, good tires all the way around and a spare that's never been used. I've never red lined my truck and it uses no oil. I'm only selling my truck because my husband bought me a new horse trailer and unfortunately it does go with the color of the trailer. Please keep in mind that the mileage will change as I am still using the truck.  Please call or text 314-210-3548 for more info or email. Other pics available upon request. When my husband bought the truck for me in 2005 from the dealer it had approximately 40,000 miles on it.  I am responsible for the dent in the bumper and the damage to the tailgate.  All the other damage to the body and bed of the truck was done prior to me owning it.

Weekly Recap: Diesel scandal continues to fuel VW's woes

Sat, Oct 3 2015

Volkswagen's woes continued this week when it was delisted from the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and stripped of awards. Senators are also lining up to advocate for criminal and civil action against the automaker, and its consumer reputation is in tatters. Put simply, it's been another rough period for VW. Despite this, the company eked out a sales gain of less than one percent in September, though that was well behind the overall market's performance. Sister brand Audi, which sells a diesel A3, was less affected, posting a 16-percent gain in September. Revelations that Volkswagen rigged millions of diesel-powered cars around the world didn't surface until September 18, so the full sales impact of the ongoing scandal won't likely be felt until October. Meanwhile, VW's image continues to take a beating, and an AutoPacific survey found only one in 14 vehicle owners have a positive opinion of the company. Before the scandal broke, three-quarters of respondents had a positive view of VW. The survey also found 64 percent don't trust Volkswagen, though the same number believe other companies are or may also be using cheating devices to pass emissions tests. "The reputation of diesels has been severely damaged, at least for the short term," Ed Kim, AutoPacific's vice president of industry analysis, said in a statement. Despite the lingering malaise, experts believe VW will recover, just as Toyota and General Motors eventually emerged from their own high-profile controversies. "Consumers have proven through numerous recalls that they are resilient and quickly return to their buying habits," Kim said. OTHER NEWS & NOTES Mazda to reveal sports car concept in Tokyo Mazda will bring a curvy sports car concept to the Tokyo Motor Show in October. The automaker is being especially coy with the details, only releasing the dark teaser shot that you see to the right and a cryptic statement that suggests the concept "condense[s] Mazda's entire history of sports-car development into a single model." Immediately, speculation abounded this is an RX-7 and RX-8 successor, though Mazda didn't specify what engine the concept will have. Reportedly, the company is still working on rotary engines. Mazda will have a Cosmo Sport 110S on its stand in Tokyo, which pioneered rotary technology in 1967. Read into that what you will. Toyota, Ford not interested in FCA merger

Mon, Jun 15 2015

Sergio Marchionne will preach the benefits of mergers to anyone who'll listen, but his calls for industry consolidation may be falling on deaf ears. At least, that is, the ears of those who the Fiat Chrysler chief would most like to bend. Not only is General Motors uninterested, but according to The Detroit News, neither are Toyota or Ford. "It's something we would not be interested in," said Toyota's North American chief Jim Lentz, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Toyota Technical Center. "At 10 million (vehicles) we have enough scale right now to do what we need to do. There really would be no advantage for us." Toyota isn't the only one unenthused by the prospect of merging with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The Detroit News also reports that Ford, though it may yet to have been approached by Marchionne, wouldn't be interested either. "We're not a suitor for FCA," said Ford CFO Bob Shanks. "We don't see that type of opportunity as one that applies to us." With GM, Toyota, and Ford expressing disinterest in Marchionne's merger idea, the FCA chief will likely start looking elsewhere – or look for other ways to compel his primary candidate to reconsider. He may eventually find a partner – more likely in the Far East or within Europe – but it may not take the form of the major player Sergio has hoped for. Watch how a Ford Raptor rolls down the assembly line in Dearborn

Sun, 30 Mar 2014

Bloomberg TV reporter Matt Miller is the proud new owner of a pretty killer truck. How do we know? The reporter headed to Dearborn, MI to Ford's assembly plant, with a film crew in tow, to see exactly how his new F-150 SVT Raptor and its mother-loving 6.2-liter V8 engine, was screwed together.
The resulting video does an excellent job of summing up how an assemblage of parts and pieces is turned into a triple-black Raptor, thanks to the work of some 1,000 employees and about 20 hours of real time. Click through below to see how the truck is born, with a surprise cameo playing the part of delivery driver at the end.
