Up for auction, very desirable 7.3 powerstroke crewcab 6 speed 4x4 flatbed.  Truck is supposed to have new injectors, newer tires (all 6) new batteries new simulators and just had it serviced.  Truck runs and drives very well.  It has cold A/C and working cruise control, roll up windows and manual locks.  Factory AM-FM Cd playe, vinyl seats and rubber mat, also have a lever lock emergency brake system.  The truck has a dent in the rear passenger door that you can see in the pictures.  The drivers sear is torn wehre you get in and out.  Truck is used to being plugged up so when it's cold it's a little sluggish for a minute when it's unplugged but runs great after a couple minutes.  The clutch is good, 4x4 works good, flatbed has a gooseneck and reese hitch and tool boxes on each side.  I have tried to explain the truck the best I could so you or I do not waste our time.  No known major problems to my knowledge but truck is sold as-is.

Truck is for sale locally and the ad may be removed at any time.

Jay Leno and Lee Iacocca reflect on 50 years of Ford Mustang

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

Lee Iacocca oversaw the birth of the Ford Mustang back in the 1960s, rocketing the new pony car nameplate into million-unit sales territory in its initial go-round and cementing its place in the history books. Thus, we were immediately drawn to this latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage, in which the funnyman hosts Iacocca for a look at the origins of Ford's most iconic sports car. The legendary auto exec is looking notably more frail than when we last saw him, but if we're being asked around as a video guest when we're 89 years old, we'll consider that evidence of a life well lived.
Serial No. 0001 is on hand for the occasion for Jay's romp through history, as is the historic Mustang 1 showcar from 1962. Of course, the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang GT (in prototype form) makes an appearance at the end of the episode with chief engineer Dave Pericak, as well. Get some, below.

Toyota, Ford and Honda again top Consumer Reports Car-Brand Perception Survey

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Consumer Reports has released its annual Car-Brand Perception Survey, and the list looks awfully familiar. The top six brands are identical to last year's results, with Toyota, Ford and Honda continuing to occupy the podium. All told, Toyota walked away with 133 points, putting it 15 ahead of second-place Ford. Honda jumped 26 points this year, narrowing Ford's lead to just four points in total.
Consumer Reports polls buyers from across the country on how they see multiple brands in seven categories, including quality, safety, value, performance, design/style, technology/innovation and environmentally friendly/green. Researchers then combine the findings to come up with the total brand score.
While value and performance remain important to buyers, CR found quality and safety are still on top when it comes to significance. Scion and Mitsubishi found themselves at the bottom of the pack with the worst score of all, tied at just six points. Ram, Fiat and Mini filled out the lowest five with scores of seven, eight and 10 points, respectively. You can read the full press release below for more information, or head over to the Consumer Reports site.

Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
