UPDATE:

4/16/14

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WATCHING THIS AUCTION! BEEN GETTING A FEW QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS ABOUT THE AUTOCHECK HISTORY OF THE TRUCK, TO BE HONEST IF YOU GO BACK AND READ IT, IT AMOUNTS TO NOTHING MORE THAN, "AT ONE TIME THIS TRUCK WAS INVOLVED IN A SIGNIFICANT WRECK" AS AUTOCHECK ALSO SHOWS THIS WAS 10 YEARS AGO AND 20,000 MILES AGO, I HAVE PERSONALLY DROVE THIS TRUCK 13,000 MILES AND HAVE NOT HAD ONE PROBLEM INVOLVING THE WRECK IN THE PAST IT HAS BEEN INSURED AND TAGGED AND LEGALLY ON THE ROAD FOR OVER 3 YEARS THAT I HAVE OWNED IT. INFACT THE ONLY EVIDENCE I HAVE SEEN OF A PRYOR WRECK IS, IF YOU LOOK CLOSLY AT THE USUAL GAPS BETWEEN THE DOORS, AND FENDERS THEY ARE NOT PERFECTLY LINED UP BUT NOT SOMETHING OBVIOUS ONE WOULD NOTICE UNLESS IT WAS POINTED OUT.

TO ANSWER A FEW OTHER QUESTIONS, THIS TRUCK DOES NOT SMOKE (WHITE, BLACK, OR GRAY).

NO LEAKS ANYWHERE (MOTOR, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, AXELS OR ANYWHERE)

NO RADDLES, SHAKES, VIBRATIONS, TAPPING, GRINDING OR ANY OTHER NOISE EXCEPT THE TIRES ROARING AND POWER STEERING WHINNING IF YOU TURN WHILE MOVING SLOWLY BUT NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM.

THE REASON I DID NOT POST A PICTURE OF MOTOR COMPARTMENT IS BECAUSE IT LOOKS THE SAME AS THE REST BUT WITH COLD AIR INTAKE, ALSO I STATED I WILL SEND PICTURES

PLEASE DO "NOT" E-MAIL ME: "TEXT" OR "CALL" ME AT 580-262-3189 I WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT TO KNOW, AND WILL SEND PICTURES OF ANYTHING YOU WANT A BETTER LOOK AT!

I UNDERSTAND THE AUTOCHECK IS SAYING ALOT, BUT I'M TELLING YOU HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS OVER 13,000 MILES AROUND TOWN AND TO SCHOOL AND I HAVE HAD ALOT OF FUN WITH IT HAVING THE BIGGEST TRUCK IN KAY COUNTY

RESERVE IS $11,800 WHICH I PERSONALLY BELIEVE IS LOW, I PAID 14,000 FOR IT AND FELT I GOT A GOOD DEAL AFTER DRIVING IT!

2015 will be the biggest year ever for cars at CES

Fri, Jan 2 2015

Like the SEMA Show, major automakers are paying increasing attention to the CES, with 2015 expected to be one of the most auto focused yet. Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, Mazda, Audi, BMW and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will all be in attendance when CES 2015 kicks off next week, taking up a record-breaking 165,000 square feet of space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. "We've come a long way from a single car on a carpet," Ford's Alan Hall told Bloomberg. Unlike SEMA, or a more traditional auto show, like the upcoming festivities in Detroit, CES doesn't necessarily focus on entire cars or the way they perform, but on the way our technology will interact with vehicles, and in how those vehicles will deliver information to drivers. "CES has become a major launch point for a lot of the big automakers," IHS tech analyst Mark Boyadjis told Bloomberg. "CES is a way for them to get on a global stage for technology." As for what kind of wares automakers will trot out in Las Vegas, we already know that BMW will show off an autonomous i3 electric car that can navigate its way through a multistory car park and can be hailed via a smartwatch app. According to Bloomberg, Hyundai will show off its own smartwatch app for the Genesis sedan, while Audi and Mercedes-Benz will show off autonomous vehicles next week. Automakers won't be the only companies looking to capitalize on CES. Tech firms, like chipmaker Nvidia, are becoming increasingly involved in the automotive game and will be in town showing their wares off to OEMs. "Two years ago, our booth would have been filled with PCs and people playing video games," Danny Shapiro, Nvidia's senior director for automotive business, told Bloomberg. "This year we made a strategic decision to shift the focus of the booth on automotive and de-prioritize some of the other things." Needless to say, you can expect to see a lot of news out of Las Vegas come next week. Stay tuned. Dealers price gouging Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition by up to $20k [UPDATE]

Wed, Feb 11 2015

UPDATE: Sheehy Ford's Cory Belcher got back to us, confirming that the price premium was related to the limited nature of the 50th Anniversary Mustang and that the figure listed was based on what other dealers were charging, while adding that the dealership was "very flexible" on the final price of the special edition car. So while there remains a hefty markup, it's possible that consumers could get out the door without spending quite so much over MSRP. It's no secret that dealers take some – let's call them "liberties" – with the prices on vehicles that are very new, highly in demand or available in very limited numbers. As we've explained before, they're well within their rights to charge so-called market value adjustments. We don't usually see these adjustments on mainstream vehicles, though. Then again, you could argue that the 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition is not necessarily a mainstream vehicle. It starts at $46,170, which isn't peanuts, but it's still a Mustang. There's still a large portion of the buying public that could put one in their driveway, if they so chose. Then again, maybe they can't. That's because dealers are (still) issuing massive premiums on top of MSRP for the limited-edition model. It's happening at Sheehy Ford Gaithersburg, where a salesperson named Lou confirmed to Autoblog that the dealership is charging around $20,000 over MSRP on not one, but two Anniversary Editions. He explained that Sheehy isn't alone in the upcharge: "We like to see what other dealers are asking for," he told us, in reference to the limited edition 'Stang. We have a message in for the dealership's general manager for deeper info, too, and will update this post when/if we hear back. We corroborated Lou's story, though, with another Maryland area dealer, Century Ford, who confirmed that the $46,995 listed on the dealer's website for its Wimbledon White Anniversary car was incorrect, and the actual price was "around $64,000." He echoed Lou's reasoning for the upcharge, while adding that dealers are likely only going to see one or two examples, of the 1,964 produced. Perhaps the most worrying part of this entire affair is the sense of deceit that accompanies it. Neither of the dealers we spoke to copped to the market value adjustments on their website. We had to call and ask specifically about the cars in question to get the actual price.

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Power Stroke

Tue, 29 Jul 2014

What weighs 30,000 pounds? Big Ben's Westminster bell. A navy ship anchor. Or as we found out during our first drive program for the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty, seven pallets of cinder blocks loaded onto a dual-axle gooseneck trailer. The test was part of a raft of towing demonstrations that showcased the new Super Duty's impressive tug capacity, which maxes out at 32,100 pounds. That's 1,200 more than its nearest rival, the Ram 3500, when equipped with its upgraded 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8. Such is the heavy-duty pickup truck business, a diesel-fueled game of one-upmanship with only three players: Ford, Chevrolet/GMC and Ram. And in this game, the one with the most torque wins.
Until 2014, Ford was the one to beat, with its 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel bringing 400 hp and a massive 800 lb-ft of torque to the table. Then last year, Ram did exactly that, serving Ford with a beefed-up Cummins turbodiesel inline-six in its freshened Ram Heavy Duty truck line with 385 hp and 850 lb-ft of torque, enabling it to tow up to 30,000 pounds. But Ford claims it had designed its engine to be relatively easy to upgrade when the time called for it, so for 2015, Ford bolted a larger turbo to the Power Stroke, bringing output to an insane 440 hp and 860 lb-ft of twist, all without reducing fuel efficiency. Maximum tow capacity rises from 24,700 lbs to an incredible 31,200 lbs for the F-450 dually.
As for GM's HDs? They lag behind the lot with their 6.6-liter Duramax V-8, producing 397 hp and 765 lb-ft of torque. Yeah, you know things are serious when the trucks with 765 lb-ft are the knock-kneed wimps of the lot.
