You are bidding on my 2000 Ford F-350 XLT Crew Cab Dually 4x4. It has the legendary 7.3 liter Powerstroke Diesel engine. It also has a newly rebuilt ZF6 6 speed transmission. . The truck has 175K miles on it and it runs and drives great, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country today. The truck does have a few nicks and dings you would expect with a 13 year old truck and the bed is the worst part of it. The bed still functions and is usable but if it was replaced the truck would look excellent. It has a heavy duty Ranch Hand front bumper. The bumper is in good shape and is solid but it could use sand blasting and painting which I plan to do if I keep it. The front windshield is cracked but if the truck sells, I'll have it replaced before buyer picks the truck up. The truck has a TS 6 position chip, Autometer boost and pyrometer gauges, a Scangauge II, Diamond Eye 4" turbo back no muffler exhaust, 6 matching BG Goodwrich A/T tires with less than 10K miles on them, and here's a list of all the maintenance/mod's that I've done to it since I've had it and the mileage it was done at:

167,710  New tires
167,750  Changed oil/filter, fuel and air filter
167,800  Changed Transmission Fluid
167,850  Installed new shifter assembly
167,900  New headlights and marker lights
168,700  Changed front differential oil
169,050 Installed TS 6 Position Chip
169,050  Installed Autometer boost and pyro
169,800  Installed new left front wheel hub bearing, seals and axle shaft
170,000  Had transmission rebuilt and new u-joints and CV joint in front drive shaft
171,500  Installed new front right wheel hub bearing and seals
171,600  Installed new drag link end, installed 7 pin receiver in bed for trailer brakes, installed brake controller
171,600  Changed oil and oil filter
174,400  Rebuilt fuel bowl, new sleeves in fuel rails, replaced IPR o ring, fromoved foil wrap from driver side intercooler pipe, revoved crank case vent from intake and ran road draft tube.
174,200  Installed new bellowed up pipes, new exhaust back pressure valve delete turbo pedestal with new o rings, and a new high flow EBPV delete turbo outlet housing.
175,000  New rear hub seals on both sides and new hub bearings on driver side rear, new parking brake shoes, changed rear differential oil with Mobile 1 synthetic 75w140.

This truck is a brute and it pulls my 35 foot 5th wheel camper with ease. It'll do anything you need it to do. I don't have to sell it, the only reason I'm considering it is because I love the 92-97 body style and I'm wanting a crew cab SRW F-350 4x4 in that body style. If the truck doesn't bring what I want, I'll gladly keep it. The 5th wheel hitch doesn't come with the truck. If buyer wants the truck shipped they must pay for and arrange it. Thanks for looking.

Second-tier UAW workers promoted for first time after Ford hits quota

Mon, Feb 2 2015

The United Auto Workers put out a statement on Friday that 55 Ford workers chosen by seniority would be moved from the Tier 2, entry-level pay rate of around $19 per hour to the Tier 1, non-entry-level rate of about $28 per hour. One of the stipulations in the 2011 UAW-Ford agreement was that only 20-percent of the total hourly workforce could be paid the Tier 2 wages agreed upon in 2007; after that, those workers had to be moved to Tier 1. Even so, the new Tier 1 status makes them less expensive to Ford than veteran Tier 1 workers because they receive fewer benefits. However, Automotive News had reported that same day that Ford was 69 workers shy of the limit, and when AN asked Ford about the situation Ford said it had "some room" on the entry-level roster. If workers do move to the higher pay grade, it will be the first time that's happened since the two-tier system was agreed. But it sounds like there's going to be some haggling between the UAW and Ford before that happens. Ford is the only one of the Detroit 3 automakers to have to work with a cap, since it didn't go through bankruptcy proceedings during The Great Recession; General Motors and Chrysler jettisoned the cap in 2009. GM is said to have 16 percent of its hourly workers at Tier 2 while Chrysler has 42 percent, but Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has long been opposed to the two-wage system. The UAW is preparing for its 2015 negotiations with the US automakers. It wants to eliminate the difference in pay by going to the higher scale, if there is a consensus among automakers it seems to be that they also want a single wage, but less than the higher scale, with the addition of profit-based bonuses. The recent statement from the labor union is below. UAW President Dennis Williams and UAW-Ford Vice President Jimmy Settles announced today that the union is delivering on its promise to convert workers DETROIT, Jan. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- UAW President Dennis Williams and UAW-Ford Vice President Jimmy Settles announced today that the union is delivering on its promise to convert workers making entry-level wages to traditional employees. "The 2011 UAW-Ford agreement allows for a contractual limit of entry-level employees. Once that threshold is surpassed, entry-level employees convert by seniority to 'regular, non-entry level employment.' At this time, fifty-five UAW-Ford workers will receive the wage increases, which put them in the category of non entry-level employment.

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty is class-leading once again

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Time for everyone to feign surprise - Ford has just announced that it has the increased horsepower and torque levels of its 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 engine for 2015. As you'd expect, the Blue Oval is claiming class-leading figures of 440 hp (up from 400) and 860 pound-feet (up from 800), and that's enough to enable Ford's F-450 Super Duty model to tow as much as 31,200 pounds, which, again, the automaker claims is class leading.
Now, it should be noted that the max rating quoted above is achieved with the Ford F-450. The 2015 F-350, which is perhaps a better comparison to the Ram 3500 HD pickup that claimed the towing crown in 2013 at an even 30,000 pounds, is capped at 26,500 pounds, either with a gooseneck or when towing a fifth-wheel trailer. In any case, it's going to take a load the size of Godzilla to make any of the current crop of fullsize heavy-duty pickup trucks break into a sweat. For those keeping track, Chevy rates its 2015 Silverado HD at a maximum of 23,200 pounds.
Ford's newfound pulling power comes courtesy of a larger turbocharger for its in-house Power Stroke engine, new fuel injector tips and, we'd assume, retuned computer controls. Besides the engine enhancements, the F-350 gets a wider front track for 2015 and new front springs, while the F-450 gains commercial-grade 19.5-inch wheels and tires, new rear U-joints, leaf springs, stabilizer bars and shocks. The steering and brake systems have also been upgraded.

Detroit automakers mulling helping DIA avoid bankruptcy looting

Tue, 13 May 2014

It's not really a secret that the city of Detroit is in lots and lots of trouble. Even with an emergency manager working to guide it through bankruptcy, a number of the city's institutions remain in very serious danger. One of the most notable is the Detroit Institute of Arts, a 658,000-square-foot behemoth of art that counts works from Van Gogh, Picasso, Gauguin and Rembrandt (not to mention a version of Rodin's iconic "The Thinker," shown above) as part of its permanent collection.
Throughout the bankruptcy, the DIA has been under threat, with art enthusiasts, historians and fans of the museum concerned that its expansive collection - valued between $454 and $867 million by Christie's - could be sold by the city to help square its $18.5-billion debt.
Now, though, Detroit's hometown automakers could be set to step up and help save the renowned museum. According to a report from The Detroit News, the charitable arms of General Motors, Ford and Chrysler could be set to donate $25 million as part of a DIA-initiated campaign, called the "grand bargain." As part of the deal, the DIA would seek $100 million in corporate donations as part of a larger attempt at putting together an $816-million package that would be paid to city pension funds over 20 years. Such a move would protect the city's art collection from being sold off.
