Babylon, New York, United States

Just serviced with 4 new calipers, new brake pads and  new parking brake shoes. Recently NYS inspected.

Up for sale is a beautiful early 1999 F 350 Dually 4X4 with the sought after 7.3 liter Diesel and automatic transmission. It is an XLT with a Centurion Vehicles Conversion (better than the Lariet). Having only 93,000 miles she's barely broken in. The truck has leather interior, power drivers & passenger seat. The drivers seat is worn, but the rest of the interior is in great shape.
The truck rides on Ion Alloy 166 rims with BF Goodrich 295/75/R16 Radial All Terrain tires, all six tires are at about 65% tread. The truck has running boards and a Roll-A-Long rear bumper. The windows are tinted and have smoked vent shade covers.
The truck has and Edge Evolution programmer, a Specter air filter on a K&N cold air intake, a new 4" turbo back exhaust with a 5" SS tip and a Max Tow transmission temperature gauge. COLD AC
A multi disk billet torque converter along with a new flexplate was installed @ 87327 miles, at this time the transmission fluid was changed to Amzoil synthetic and a auxiliary transmission cooler with fan was, installed too.

The glow plugs were serviced @ 87876 miles and the turbo pedestal and turbo exhaust flange were changed to a non- EBPV type. A new wicked wheel turbo compressor wheel was also installed as were the two up-pipe donut gaskets. The truck has a new rear ABS sensor @ 89436 miles, the rear pinion seal was replaced @89468miles. All 4 power door lock actuators where replaced in March 2013.
The truck comes equipped with a 30,000# Hide-A-Ball goose neck hitch, a 16,000# Curt 5th wheel hitch as well as a 15,000# Curt V-5 receiver hitch there is also a Reese brake controller. This truck will tow just about anything you put behind it, within reason. The truck has a 98 gallon Transflow Auxiliary fuel tank in the bed.
The body is very clean but does have some minor door dings, rock chips and little scratches especially on the dually fenders. Some chrome is pealing off the front bumper (was going to replace it but never did). The undercarriage has some rust spots that I have wire brushed and painted with rust reformer, remember this truck is 15 years old.
The truck also has a matching ARE cap for when you are not towing or just need to keep things in the back out of the weather. The cap is in good condition but does have a few scrapes from storage in the yard.

Everything on the truck works as it should except for the following. The automatic hubs need to be locked in manually for the 4 wheel drive to work. The display for the auxiliary fuel tank also only displays intermittently though the system works fine and the total combined onboard fuel for the stock tank and the auxiliary tank is displayed by the stock fuel gauge.

I used this truck to tow my travel trailer. As I am selling my travel trailer, I have no need for a truck of this size. My wife is in need of a new vehicle, her car has 190,000 miles on it but she won't drive this truck as she says its too big!

Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up, vehicle is sold as is. If you are local and want to come see the truck let me know.

OK, if you are looking at this truck then you know with the 7.3L Diesel and low mileage they are going for big bucks, Don't waste your or my time with lowball offers, I am in no rush to sell and the value on these is only going up as they become harder and harder to find. This vehicle sold for close to 40,000 back in 99 before it was customized by Centurion. To buy a new truck today that can do what this truck can do your looking at $55-60,000. This is my daily driver so miles will increase.

Truck has Peterbilt badges but they are only decals and can be removed if you don't like them.

Buyer to pay a $500 deposit by Pay Pal and the balance must be in CASH.  Unfortunately in todays world even a certified bank check can be a fake. If you don't have the cash, don't buy the truck.

Buyer to pick up vehicle in Babylon, NY 11702

 Thanks for looking.

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. My year in EVs: 8 electrics that are changing the car industry

Wed, Dec 1 2021

The year 2021 will go down as an inflection point in the auto industry’s transition to electric vehicles. It's when many much-anticipated models became reality. No longer sketches or sketchy prototypes, electric vehicles appeared from all corners with everything from the Lucid Air to Ford Mustang Mach-E changing how we think about transportation. I managed to drive a lot of them, and as I went through my notes, I realized IÂ’ve got a mini memoir of the seminal EVs of 2021. HereÂ’s my take on eight of them. Hummer EV Easily the most over-the-top EV I tested this year. The 1,000-hp super truck lived up to the hype with its domineering presence, stupendous power and simply being a reincarnated Hummer. I took it for a short spin on- and off-road at the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford, Mich., and was impressed with the airy cabin, removable sky panels and expansive touchscreens. Yes, I crab walked, which felt like steering a pontoon boat, though I can see why it would be useful. Lucid Air Dream Performance The most beautiful sedan I tested all year, EV or otherwise. Unlike the futuristic Mercedes EQS — which is quite attractive — LucidÂ’s car is a blend of mid-century modern interior aesthetics and classic European exterior styling. When I walked up for my test drive, someone who IÂ’m pretty sure was comedian Jon Lovitz was sitting inside and taking it all in. As it sat in the valet of a hotel in a wealthy suburban enclave north of Detroit, the Lucid drew more attention than any of the Mercedes, Cadillacs or Lexus models passing by. The driving experience was enveloping. Starting at $169,000 for the Performance model (reservations are closed), the Lucid I sampled packed 1,111 hp and 471 miles of range. From the precise steering to the comfortable suspension, the dynamics were spot-on. It's a formidable product, and all the more impressive given itÂ’s LucidÂ’s first. Chevy Bolt EV The Bolt was the most pleasant surprise for me. It handled well, offered low-to-the-ground hot hatch dynamics and the steering was dialed-in. Adding a crossover variant for the new generation was a smart play. On a summer morning where I went to a first drive of the Ford Bronco at an off-road course, my hour-long commute in the Bolt was an enjoyable appetizer.  The Bolt was also my biggest disappointment due to its extensive recalls for fire risk. Ironically, I had the Bolt in my driveway when the initial recall went out for the previous generation (2017-19).
