Yuma, Arizona, United States
Start up and walk around video - - - - - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlqMjUkqi2A Truck runs and drives great, I have a 25' equipment hauling, pintle hitch trailer that mates up to this truck for sale in a separate listing. I really only use the 97 F-350 when I need that trailer... like when I move my 8,000lbs forklift. 21' equipment hauling, pintle bumper-pull trailer is listed under eBay item number: 191082151763 clean and clear title engine: - 7.3L Turbocharged Diesel -110V plug in block warmer Transmission: - 5-speed manual - 2WD body- - crew cab (four full doors) - dually (dual rear wheels) - contractors flat bed - built in ladder rack - optional fuel tank - heavy duty rear bumper with 2" towing hitch - white paint - mudflaps -2" receiver hitch -pintle hitch receiver -wood bed Mileage - 179,000 starts (subject to change) and drives with no problems, it idles smooth and the only problem with shifting is that reverse is getting stubborn, worse case scenario is to put it in reverse white the engine is shut off. The truck was fleet maintained by "Rain for Rent" before I bought it. Since I bought in March 2011 I've only put about 1,800+- miles on it! I have 3 other trucks so I have to let a couple go. -Both batteries were replaced immediately and come with the remaining 3 year free replacement warranty at Autozone. -The starter was replaced in April, 2011 with a lifetime warranty through O'reilly's. -All 8 glowplugs replaced -fuel filter recently replaced -turn signal switch recently replaced -oil (14 quarts) and K&N oil filter. Two quarts included hot-shot secret. Google "hot shot secret" if you've never heard of it. -New K&N air filter installed on 3/29/12 known problems: -driver's seat worn (a cover would easily hide it) -heat/ac only blow through defrost vents (new selector switch??) -passenger front door only opens from the outside ( a $20 cable) -spare rim needs another tire Feel free to contact me with any questions. |

Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year
Fri, 11 Jan 2013With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.
Scroll down for more about Ford's planned job growth as well as how to go about applying for said openings.
GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773
Fri, Mar 24 2023In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna. Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
