for sale 1997 ford f350 6x6

the good ---the truck is very strong and tight, has bumper trailer hitch ball and inside bed hitch ball, has trailer brake and light control inside cab, has very good  ( matching tires) all the way around,

has 2 new interstate batteries, has pretty good interior but has some dash cracking over the glove box, good cloth seat, good floor, good trans and rear end has good exhaust system

all the way from front to back. I like the truck, but I don't need another truck. with just a little work it would make someone a real nice truck.

the bad----to begin with I am not a mechanic you might say I went to the old school. the brake pedal goes almost to the floor, and so does the emergency brake, therefore I think it needs rear brakes

shoes,   the engine wants to crank for a few seconds before it starts. that being said I think it may need fuel filters, I don't know. when it starts it runs perfect and has the old power/stroke

diesel sound. the body does have a small rust spot on the passenger side on the bottom rear  corner, there are also a few light scratches on the passenger door below the mirror.

I have also lost the door lock key. also the speedometer does show 260,000 miles I don't know if that is right or not. I only drive the truck around on the farm. I bought the truck from my son

I did forget to mention that the a/c is not putting out cold air. all the components are there and hooked up, I think it probably just needs Freon. I am sorry for my forgetfulness.

I also forgot to mention the rear of the bed over the lights overtop of the license plate is  some rust, but can be used as is. I will try to upload more pics.  thanks

Watch how Ken Block spent his weekend in Barbados

Thu, 22 May 2014

Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. Scroll down to watch the videos and get a taste of Block's tropical racing adventure.

American automakers fall in latest Fortune 500 rankings

Fri, 10 May 2013

Not that it means anything beyond bragging rights, but if you're fixated on the positions of domestic automakers on the annual Fortune 500 list, both General Motors and Ford are still on it but they've slipped a couple of notches. The list ranks American companies and they're ordered solely by revenue. GM, fifth last year, came in seventh, while Ford fell from ninth to tenth even though both companies saw small gains in annual revenue.
GM's $152.3 billion in revenue was less than a third of that of the first company on the list: Wal-Mart, which regained the title from Exxon Mobil. Berkshire Hathaway and Apple are the firms that moved GM down. Ford, displaced by energy company Valero, had $134.3 billion in revenue.
On a side note, profitability isn't a factor, but both GM and Ford were down in this year's list compared to last year's: GM declined from $9.2 billion to $6.2 billion, Ford fell from $20.2 billion to $5.6 billion. If profits were included, Exxon Mobil would probably still be king: although the energy company made almost $20 billion less in revenue than Wal-Mart's $469.2 billion, it posted $44.9 billion in profit compared to Wal-Mart's $17 billion.

Ford Transit Skyliner Concept is a Gulfstream for the road

Sat, 12 Apr 2014

If you are afraid to fly or just want to arrive at your ultimate destination in absolute comfort, then the Ford Transit Skyliner concept might be the perfect vehicle for you. Built by Galpin Auto Sports and based on a 2015 Transit, the van is basically a private jet on wheels. It even has a touch of Transformers about it with the ability to switch between four modes by pressing a button in a smartphone app.
Based on the long wheelbase, high-roof model with 487 cubic feet of cargo space and 6 feet, 9.5 inches of interior height, the Skyliner has movable captains chairs that shift around among four modes. In theater mode, the seats turn and recline to face a 52-inch retractable movie screen with 7.2 surround sound. For business, a motorized table unfolds, and the chairs gather around it. There is a mode for tailgating where the door opens four-feet wide, and, when traveling, passengers can recline back with footrests that extend for maximum comfort.
To make the ride even plusher, there is a satellite and media server to meet your entertainment needs, and there is even a built-in bar in the back. If this Ford had a bathroom, you could live in it. Of course, you would need to hire a driver to enjoy all the amenities in the back.
