1996 FORD F350
7.3L POWERSTROKE TURBO DIESEL V8 Newly rebuilt Automatic (12month, 12k warranty) 4 WHEEL DRIVE XLT LONG BED 3.55 REAR END GEARS 1,000'S SPEND IN RECENT MAINTENANCE 38,000 ORIGINAL MILES CLEAN / CLEAR TITLE IN HAND! EXTERIOR: The Oxford White exterior has a nice, glossy shine and is free of any major body or structural rust! This truck is clean stored indoors and babied. Overall, this Long Bed is in excellent and very clean condition! I get compliments everywhere I go about how clean and nice the truck is for a '96 model. Here is a list of parts that I have added within the last few months: Rebuilt transmission Rebuilt Front End New Starter Added additional leaves to rear for heavier capacity I've done my best to describe and list all things necessary on the exterior, and I have included pictures of all that I can. If I have left something out, feel free to ask for more pictures/information. I'm happy to help. INTERIOR: The Red cloth interior is in very good condition for its age, and is smoke free! There are no rips or tears in the seats, and the interior allows for 3 passenger seating thanks to the fold down center console. There is also a crack in the passenger side dash pad, and small hole in the headliner behind visor. These are probably the obvious things to point out. Both power windows work just as they should, and all power door locks work just as they should, as well. The speakers all sound good, and has stock radio. The A/C blows ice cold! I've provided a picture of the interior, but if you need more pictures or have questions, feel free to let me know! DRIVETRAIN: This 1996 Ford F350 is powered by the Legendary 7.3L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel V8 engine! This remains one of the most reliable and best built diesel engines ever put in a truck, and this one is no exception! This 7.3 Powerstroke starts perfectly, idles just as it should, and runs out better than the day it was sold new. The 7.3 is backed by an newly rebuilt automatic transmission that shifts out just like it should. Because it is an F350, the Ford has a straight front axle (Dana 60) with leaf spring suspension. THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT! The manual shift 4x4 system functions just as it should in all settings (2HI, 4HI, and 4LO) and the manual locking front hubs engage and disengage without a problem. When I bought the truck I had a compression test done at an International shop and it passed with flying colors. Simply put, if it needed it, the truck got it. When I bought this truck I knew that it was a rare find to be in such good condition. The truck is 100% stock. The last owner of this truck had owned it since around 28,000 miles and used it very little. He told me that it was the best truck he'd ever owned and offered him many years of reliable service, he upgrading to a crew cab. I would have to agree that this a very solid truck and I would also trust it to drive anywhere in the country, just the way it sits, right now. If you're looking for an Old Body Style Ford, look no further. This one has exactly every desirable option a person could want. Come check it out in person, you'll not be disappointed! This is one of the best all around old body style 7.3 Powerstroke trucks that I've owned or been around! CALL, OR EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR TO MAKE A REASONABLE OFFER: JOE 908-339-1937 |

Hennessey Ford GT sets 267.6-MPH record at Texas Mile [w/videos]
Mon, 25 Mar 2013The record-setting Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT we showed you at this time last year headed back to the Texas Mile and managed to bring home yet another record. As you may recollect, last year saw Mark Heidraker's machine sprint to a record 257.7 mph thanks to propulsion from its twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8. The big mill sucks down race gas, and this year the creation pulled off a 267.6-mph run over the weekend. That feat set a new record for the event. Something tells us neither Heidraker nor Hennessey are done squeezing more thrust from this machine.
This particular Ford GT has already gone through a number of permutations. Hennessey started by tweaking the factory supercharger set up before abandoning the blower in favor of two turbos. Since then, the crew has poked and prodded it to coerce as much grunt as possible out of the car. We expect Hennessey will probably come out with a video of the record-setting run shortly, but in the meantime, you can see a couple of videos of the car's runs in Texas below (one of which actually captures the record run). Enjoy.
Ford's new Focus RS hatches hot and heads for America
Tue, Feb 3 2015The hot hatch market is heating up, and heating up fast. What you see here is Ford's new challenger for pocket-rocket supremacy, the third iteration of the breed and the 30th model to wear the Rallye Sport designation. But perhaps best of all, it will be the first time Ford will offer a new Focus RS in America. Following yesterday's leak, the latest Ford Focus RS is now ready to step out into the light and light up its tires. Answering the call is the same 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four as you'd find in the new Mustang, but upgraded with a new low-inertia twin-scroll turbocharger, larger compressor and intercooler, freer-flowing intake, large-bore dual-pipe exhaust with electronically controlled valve and upgraded internal components. The result is a 6,500-rpm redline (closer to that of Ford's atmospheric performance engines) and an output quoted as "well in excess of 315 horsepower" – which is already 5 more than the EcoBoost Mustang and a good 63 more than the existing Focus ST. Power is transmitted to the tarmac through a new performance-focused all-wheel drive system with torque vectoring that can send as much as 70 percent of available twist to the rear wheels (and as much as 100 percent between them). The system works in tandem with the brake-based torque vectoring system and stability control, and will even divert torque to the outside rear wheel under cornering to keep it flat and under control while reducing understeer. Those still suspicious of dual-clutch gearboxes will also be pleased to read that Ford has stuck with a conventional six-speed manual. We'll reserve judgement on the inclusion of the electric power steering until we get a chance to drive it, though. Of course the small team of global Ford Performance engineers who developed the new Focus RS – and the Gymkhana legend Ken Block who consulted on the project – didn't just tinker with the powertrain and leave it at that. The suspension features stiffer spring rates, bushings and anti-roll bars than the Focus ST, augmented by two-mode switchable dampers. 19-inch alloys wear Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber, with optional Pilot Sport Cup 2 semi-slicks for track-day enthusiasts. Ford has yet to detail the brakes on its new hot hatch, but you can bet they've been upgraded as well.
