1994 Ford F350 Dually 7.3 Liter Diesel With A Banks Sidewinder Turbo on 2040-cars
North Oxford, Massachusetts, United States
Selling my 1994 Ford F350 diesel with a banks sidewinder turbo. The truck runs absolutely amazing and never left me stranded on the road. EVER! The hood needs some clear coating on it but other then that there is no rot anywhere on the body. The engine is a 7.3 turbo diesel. The engine has 188,000 and a recently installed banks sidewinder turbo. Check the price on this turbo! It's almost as much as I'm asking for the entire truck. The reason I'm selling this is because my interest in older cars and trucks has changed to boats and water craft. I'm looking to purchase a large sailboat. At least a 30 footer maybe bigger and I will have no time to play with cars and trucks any longer. This is my personal truck and I drive it everywhere year round. The a/c blows so cold it will freeze you out on the hottest day of the summer. And the heat works so well it make you open the windows on the coldest day of the winter.
The truck has running board light and a brush guard. It also is equipped with an on-board power inverter. Nice radio and all in all this is a very nice truck for the money. I'm open to all reasonable offers but please don't email an offer so low that it's ridiculous. Because I don't have to sell the truck. It owes me nothing at all. I just want to sell it and move on but I don't need to do it now. I have all winter for that. Any reasonable offer will be considered and ridiculous offer will be deleted. Buyer must have a valid paypal account in order to bid/offer and a $500.00 deposit thru paypal is to be expected if the offer is accepted. Pickup can be arranged at a later time and there is no rush to pickup the truck. I have lots of land to store it for you should you need time to consider transportation. I may even be able to drive it to you and deliver it in person. But prior arrangements would have to be made before bidding. Thank you for looking at my auction and check my 100% feedback. I'm here on ebay for a long time and feedback is very important to me as a seller. Thanks again.

Ford not backing down on MPG-based marketing strategy
Thu, Jun 26 2014The Blue Oval may have to back off a bit from the green messaging. Ford has had to lower fuel-economy ratings on a number of 2013 and 2014 model-year vehicles, namely its hybrids. And that may force the US automaker to rethink some of its marketing strategy, Automotive News reports. Ford has spent much of the year pushing its fuel-efficiency improvements, with everything from a Super Bowl ad saying its Fusion Hybrid gets "almost double" the fuel efficiency of an average vehicle (after the recalculation, it's now more like 75 percent better) to claiming the Fiesta is the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid in the US (it's actually the Mitsubishi Mirage) to stating the C-Max Hybrid gets better fuel economy than the Toyota Prius V (it doesn't). Nonetheless, Ford doesn't plan on changing its mpg marketing emphasis anytime soon, the company said in an e-mailed statement to AutoblogGreen. "Providing customers great fuel economy is a key part of our Ford vehicle DNA." "Providing customers great fuel economy is a key part of our Ford vehicle DNA," the company said. "We will continue to highlight our vehicles features and attributes in our advertising and marketing, which includes fuel economy and fuel-saving technologies like EcoBoost and hybrids." Earlier this month, Ford said it would lower the fuel-economy ratings of models such as the C-Max, Fusion and Lincoln MKZ Hybrids as well as most of the Fiesta line because of mistakes in the company's internal testing data. It was the second change for the C-Max Hybrid. The good news for Ford is that its fleetwide fuel economy is up almost 40 percent from a decade ago, compared to an improvement of around 23 percent for Toyota. Still, while sales of Ford hybrids and plug-ins are about even with last year through the first five months of 2014, C-Max Hybrid sales have plunged 49 percent from a year earlier. Earlier this year, Ford admitted that the first fuel economy downgrade had a negative effect on sales and we can find proof in the numbers. Before that the change was announced, in August 2013, Ford was consistently selling over 2,000 – and sometimes over 3,000 – C-Max Hybrids a month. In September, it dropped to 1,424, then to 1,438 in October. It didn't climb back above 2,000 until May 2014. The second mpg adjustment was announced in June.
Hennessey Ford GT sets 267.6-MPH record at Texas Mile [w/videos]
Mon, 25 Mar 2013The record-setting Hennessey-powered camouflage Ford GT we showed you at this time last year headed back to the Texas Mile and managed to bring home yet another record. As you may recollect, last year saw Mark Heidraker's machine sprint to a record 257.7 mph thanks to propulsion from its twin-turbo 5.7-liter V8. The big mill sucks down race gas, and this year the creation pulled off a 267.6-mph run over the weekend. That feat set a new record for the event. Something tells us neither Heidraker nor Hennessey are done squeezing more thrust from this machine.
This particular Ford GT has already gone through a number of permutations. Hennessey started by tweaking the factory supercharger set up before abandoning the blower in favor of two turbos. Since then, the crew has poked and prodded it to coerce as much grunt as possible out of the car. We expect Hennessey will probably come out with a video of the record-setting run shortly, but in the meantime, you can see a couple of videos of the car's runs in Texas below (one of which actually captures the record run). Enjoy.
Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]
Sat, 09 Mar 2013Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
