Up for Auction is this 1992 F350. This truck is in excellent condition inside and out. Pickup has 186k mainly highway miles all original . This truck has never been worked and was a family vehicle. I hate to sell it but no longer need a big truck. Truck has no problems, No leaks, No Smoke, No blow by, good oil pressure. Truck gets around 15 MPG. Has tow package.(heavy duty transmission with external cooler). Truck has no rust. Recently had it in the shop for oil change and had a diesel mechanic do a full look over. His response was "This is the cleanest 92 Ive ever seen" he didn't recommend any work besides oil change. About 5k miles ago, I noticed a drip of water from the engine, turns out it was the water pump. I had it changed along with the thermostat and radiator. This truck has the 7.3L engine that are famous for running 500k+ miles. Mechanic says engine is just getting broke in. The elder gentleman I bought this truck off of says they only used it to travel to Florida in the winter, never pulled anything heavy although would pull anything and is made to pull anything you hook it up to. I still have the origanal window sticker from the original purchase in 1992. Sold for $26,165. This truck has a lot of life left in it and runs strong and shifts smooth. Would make someone a great work truck or even a great grocery getter. Everyone is always surprised when told its a 92., has the miles of a 2000 model and the paint to match.

paint has a couple chips and dings but nothing noticeable or serious, normal for its age.but in outstanding condition for a 92.

Bed has custom made carpeted tool boxes and floor that can be turned into a bed easily if so desired, (can all be removed in minutes, not screwed or bolted in)
Tires are full tread
has 7 pin and 4 way trailer light hookups
has small damage to the driver side wheel well under rear tank fuel door. nothing major.
Truck is equipped with Ride Rite system by Firestone. (adjustable air bags for smoother ride while towing large loads).
Lugs are missing a few chrome lug nut covers ( can be bought at any diesel shop, truck stop for couple bucks each)

Fuel tank selector switch has been glued back in the dash ( shows glue) $3 part at any salvage yard.
Seats are in perfect condition, no rips or anything
carpet has some stains but i plan to have the truck detailed if sells

engine has no leaks or burns any oil
no leaks of any kind ( stain on the hood inside liner is from me not putting the brake cap on tight after checking the brake fluid and it sprayed a little after pumping the brakes as seen in picture)
Air conditioner works great going down the highway but not so cold at an idle, Mechanic says needs a little bit of refrigerant added.
has working cruise control
Tilt steering wheel
automatic transmission
spare tire
has tinted windows
engine has turbo charger
Has a pyrometer. (monitors the exhaust temp for pulling heavy loads)
Clear Texas title
rides nice

Ford debuts Fusion NASCAR racer that edges closer to stock [w/video]
Wed, 20 Feb 2013The sixth-generation NASCAR Sprint Cup racecar, which will make its competition debut at the 2013 Daytona 500 this weekend, marks the closest thing to a "stock car" that the sport has seen in more than 20 years. No longer using just stickers to distinguish the different brands, the image above shows the lengths NASCAR and automakers went in order to create a racecar design that more closely resembles the individual cars they represent.
Ford, one of the more open and vocal OEMs regarding the Gen6 car's development, is giving us a closer look at its racing version of the Fusion with a pretty revealing side-by-side comparison with last years' racer (click above for an expanded view). Aside from the more realistic front end and production-like body lines, the overall shape, dimensions and proportions have also been designed to give the racecar a more stock appearance. Most of the new racer was designed by the Ford Design Center, which the automaker says was the first time it has been so involved in the design process since the 1960s. Of course, one area the Sprint Cup Fusion really differs from the production Fusion is its Ford Racing 5.8-liter V8 producing around 850 hp. Can you say Fusion SVT?

2014 Ford Transit unveiled in Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions
Fri, 08 Mar 2013As a leader in commercial vehicles here in the US, we knew Ford wouldn't take too long to show off the chassis cab and cutaway versions of its 2014 Ford Transit van. Set to go on sale this fall, Ford already revealed the full-body version of the Transit, and now it has pulled the cover off exposed-frame models just in time to to compete against the all-new Ram Promaster.
The term "chassis cab" refers to models with a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks, while cutaway models leave the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. Both will offer three wheelbase options (138, 156 and 178 inches), the choice of single or dually rear axles, and plenty of upfitter-friendly touches including a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations.
The new design will also help make upfitting a little easier since the fuel filler is now built into the cab (just behind the driver's door). Those integrated fuel filler necks will serve to feed either a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel. Transit chassis cab and cutaways will wear varying Gross vehicle weight ratings from 9,000 pounds to 10,360 pounds depending on spec.
Ford reflects on radical Mustang concept that never reached showrooms
Tue, 25 Jun 2013The Ford Mustang that we all know and love made major waves in the auto industry way back in 1964 by offering style and reasonable pricing with optional V8 power. Its long hood and short rear deck, combined with a low-slung and sporty cockpit, made a lasting impression in the minds of consumers and car designers alike, and its basic shape has so endured the test of time that it's still in use today.
This being the case, you may be interested to know that the first Mustang of 1964.5 wasn't actually the first Mustang at all, being preceded by a concept car that made its public debut in 1962. This concept was nothing like the car that would eventually make it into production, with a radical wedge shape and a small V4 engine sitting behind the car's two occupants, driving the rear wheels. In other words, the conceptual Mustang was pretty much the complete opposite of the production Mustang besides the name.
Ford has kindly decided go through its massive archive to bring the original Mustang concept back into the public eye. The company goes so far as to pose this question to fans of the pony car: "Should we borrow a few of these style elements for the next iteration of the Mustang?"
