1986 Ford F-350, 4X4, 6.9L IH naturally aspirated Diesel (non-turbo), 4 speed manual, tilt wheel, dually, dual tanks, manual windows and locks, AM/FM stereo, "welder's Bed", front mounted jumper cable system. Truck was re-painted 6 years ago by second owner, the paint is not perfect but does look good. Truck has only 150,xxx miles on it and is in great shape. Mileage may increase because I still use the truck weekly around my farm. This is an extra truck that I primarily use around my Farm to take cattle to market and to pull my gooseneck with. The only reason I am selling this truck is because I would like to get a bigger cab truck. Therefore, I am not willing to just give this truck away! If I can not get around what I am asking for it, I will just keep it! The A/C works in the truck and has been converted from R-12 to R-134a, new lifetime warranty starter and solenoid, new tank selector valve, new fuel lift pump, new thermostat and sending unit, new glow plugs, new glow plug controller switch, new fuel lines, new tires, new brakes, new seat with center arm rest, new dash, nerf bars, new dual exhaust, truck has pintel hitch, gooseneck hitch, and electric trailer brake controller. Truck also equipped with Grant anti-theft system, steering wheel can be removed from truck to prevent theft. The only problem with the truck is the driver side vinyl floor worn through, but not the floors, they are solid. I just had the truck to my "CERTIFIED MASTER FORD" mechanic to make sure the truck did not anything before listing. I am the 3rd owner of this truck. The truck was originally owned by a welding company that bought it new in 86' as a cab and chassis, they built and added the bed on the truck. The truck was then bought by an employee and then by me. I have the truck listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold. I prefer a local sale. Buyer responsible for making all arrangements and all fees for non-local sales.
The vehicle history shows and accident however this is not TRUE. Within a few days of buying the truck two years ago, the truck was at mechanics shop to be fully checked out. Someone broke into the shop and tried to steal the truck, they were not successful, but did damage to the steering column, ignition switch, and some of the lower dash under the steering wheel, no windows were broken, and the truck never left the shop and all damage was repaired or replaced, but I did file a claim with my insurance company.
I want everyone to understand, I am not aware of any mechanical issues with the truck and I am NOT listing the truck because it has a mechanical problem, I am truly listing the truck because I need a bigger truck! The truck is in really good shape, even better than when I bought it a few years ago! However the truck is not a new truck, but if you are looking for a good diesel truck without all of the troublesome computer and emission problems of today's trucks, this is the truck for you! Contact me via e-bay for any questions you may have and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio
Thu, 27 Feb 2014
A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.
F-150 just the start of Ford's aluminum plans
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Not only have we been told that the 2015 Ford F-150 is tougher, more durable and up to 700 pounds lighter than the current truck, Ford COO Mark Fields said it's also "CAFE-positive." That means, for the first time in the history of corporate average fuel economy standards, the F-150 would be a positive contributor on Ford's CAFE balance sheet instead of being a vehicle it needs to counterbalance with frugal offerings.
Fields' comments made at the Detroit Auto Show were among quotes from other Ford execs that confirmed the carmaker will be using aluminum for more of its vehicles. CEO Alan Mulally said it would "proliferate across our lineup," with speculation being that we'll see it applied to crossover and sport utility models first, since they'll benefit the most. Even gaining the massive scale of using aluminum on the world's best selling vehicle for its first effort - on average, the company sells two times as many F-150s in a single day as Land Rover sells of its aluminum Range Rover in a month - Ford will be looking to further spread the cost of its five-year development investment in aluminum technology. And that should mean better handling and fuel economy for those of us who don't need to wear hardhats at the office.
Why Edmunds took a sledgehammer to its 2015 Ford F-150
Tue, Jan 27 2015The discussion around repair bills for the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 pickup continued from the beginning of last year to the end, and haven't abated; as an aside, some Tesla Model S owners have been shocked at disquieting repair estimates for minor damage to their aluminum wunder-sedans. Edmunds decided to inject some fact into the fray: it bought a $52,000 long-term 2015 F-150 and clouted it with an eight-pound sledgehammer. Twice. The rear of the bedside took the impacts since it couldn't be replaced, it would have to be repaired. To the pickup's credit, the only reason associate editor Travis Langness hit it twice was that the first sledgehammer blow didn't do as much damage as Edmunds wanted. After the second, the visible damage included the two direct impacts, a few creases, and a cracked taillight, so they drove the pickup to Santa Monica Ford to get an estimate, complete with a fictitious story about how the damage occurred and the mercy plea that Langness was paying for the repair out-of-pocket. In Part 2 Langness hits on some of the details with getting the truck fixed, such as the massively expensive taillight and the list of tools Ford recommends dealers have to work on aluminum. But he was promised he'd have his truck back in seven days, and Santa Monica Ford got it back to him in seven days. In Part 3 we get the bill. It's not small, but it's quite a bit less than it could have been if the service manager had charged Edmunds the official labor rate for aluminum. We're not going to spoil it here, so check out the videos above and below for the beginning and the end, and head over to Edmunds for the complete story about how it all happened and some riffing on the repair numbers.
