Your are looking at hands down one of the coolest trucks on the road. This is a 1955 F-350 dually. Originally from Virginia and I found this truck locally a couple years ago. According to the data tag in the glove box it has 5.14 gears in the rear and was originally red. The kid who had it before me had the whole rat rod thing going so I stuck with it but re painted the truck white with 25% gloss in order to give it a satin look. Im not professional body man but it looks a lot better then when I first bought it. I put a roll in bed liner in the back and repainted the stack (that came with it when I bought it) and interior. The truck was supposed to come with a 239 v8 or Y block but according to a small tag on the current motor it has a 256 in it from a company in Richmond. I have no idea how many miles are on the truck as the speedo and odometer do not work. The lights work but I am missing two lenses for the passenger side rear lights. It has new glass and rubber on the passenger side door and I have new glass and rubber for the driver side door but have no time to put it in. The paint job is not perfect since it has to sit outside and I dont have a cover but it still turns heads everywhere. I replaced the original "widow maker" three piece wheels with a set from a newer box truck style vehicle I found in a junk yard and had the rims machined to fit this truck so it now has radial tires. The engine trans and rear all leak, but it is hands down the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned as long as you top off all fluids when needed. It has a three speed with a granny gear, non power drum brakes and non power steering. The windshield wipers do not work either. All in all this truck may not be a cream puff and it may only go 60/65 mph but it looks and sounds cooler than almost any other classic truck on the road. I have never gotten more compliments on a vehicle than I have on this truck. Any local bidders are more than welcome to come see the truck in person and go for a ride before purchase. And again this is a factory dually! I have yet to find another like it for sale. Feel free to ask any questions or if I can take more pictures to give you a better idea of what its all about I will be more than happy to do so. This is a very solid well preserved, rare piece of american history with a little twist of cool. Thanks! Happy Bidding!

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
Can an actual Ford F-150 ride on 4 Power Wheels F-150s?
Tue, Dec 9 2014A lot of kids are rough on their toys, especially when it comes to those made to be used outside, like a four-wheeled kid-size Power Wheels. Whether it's cruising through the sand box, carrying piles of rocks in the driveway or crashing around trees in the backyard, these motorized vehicles often take punishment from the moment the giftwrap comes off. The folks at Fisher-Price decided to give their latest F-150 Power Wheels a true torture test worse than any kid could have ever managed by setting a real 2015 Ford F-150 on top of four of them. Would the little toy trucks explode in a shower of plastic shards in a massive collapse, and if not, could they drive away afterwards? The latest F-150 might be 700 pounds lighter thanks to the switch to aluminum, but it's still a fullsize pickup. According to this clip, the truck weighs in at 4,120 pounds, which puts an average of 1,030 pounds on each of the toys. Check out the video above to see how the stunt goes, and click on the gallery below for some behind-the-scenes looks at the setup.
