ORIGINAL FAMILY OWNED F-250
CAMPER SPECIAL !!!
RANGER XLT
ORIGINAL PAINT, INTERIOR AND CORRECT #'S MATCHING 390 V8

This is a true original 83,314 MILE truck! Engine and drive train are completely original!  One family owned its' entire life; we took the truck along with his original 2004 F-350 in on trade, I've personally know the owner and his family for over 20 years (not a sales pitch here guys!!)

We didn't power wash the truck, detail it, or repaint anything!  I wanted the pics to show it's originality.
BODY IS EXCELLENT, PAINT IS GLOSSY, AND NO RUST.  (passenger door was repainted years ago due to a combine incident in the barn; if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know it!)

Has a small one inch rip in the seat seam on the driver side otherwise the inside is perfect!  All the gauges work, power steering and power brakes, dash pad, vinyl floor mat and door panels are perfect.

It does have an aftermarket radio, the smaller stainless mirrors, and grant 15" steering wheel,  BUT ORIGINAL TRAILER TOW MIRRORS, STEERING WHEEL AND AM RADIO WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THE SALE!  Still retains dog dish factory hubcaps, with newer 10 ply traction radial tires on the rear and 10 ply highway tread tires on the front.  We changed the oil, repaired the passenger side exhaust manifold stud and gaskets, added an inline glass fuel filter and a Optima battery and that's it.  PASSED MISSOURI STATE INSPECTION WITH FLYING COLORS!

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1974 F-250 RANGER XLT CAMPER SPECIAL WITH THE HIGHLY DESIREABLE 390 V8 ENGINE AND C6 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION that you can get in today, drive and enjoy.

NADA CLASSIC CAR GUIDE lists the retail value at $12,300 (+) 10% for the XLT trim package and 12% for the 390 v8 option, making the value right at $15,000!  The reserve is set much less so call us and make it yours today!

Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal

Fri, Jul 11 2014

Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. Detroit 3 and UAW set for showdown over tiered wages

Mon, Mar 23 2015

This week, thousands of United Auto Workers will converge on Cobo Center in Detroit for the Special Convention on Collective Bargaining, an every-four-year event that lets members tell UAW leaders what the negotiating priorities should be during contract negotiations. This is where a lot of sand and a lot of lines start coming together in preparation for contract negotiations between the UAW and the Detroit 3 automakers, which will happen later this year. Number one on the UAW agenda is the end of the two-tier wage system created in 2007 to help the automakers get through bankruptcy; veteran workers are paid the Tier 1 rate of around $29.00 per hour, new hires are paid the Tier 2 rate of between $15 and $20 and get about half the benefits of Tier 1. Tier 2 hiring has been an undoubted success for the automakers, allowing them to keep factories in the US and hire more workers. By agreement, it is capped at a certain percentage of each automaker's workforce, and while the union's ultimate position is to get rid of the dual-scale system entirely; one leader said Ford could easily afford the $335 million it would take to convert all its workers to Tier 1 out of its $6.9 billion in 2014 North American profit, and General Motors could do the same out of the $5 billion it is handing to investors through the (admittedly forced) share buyback. Other delegates say that at the very least they'd be happy with enforcement of the current caps in the new contract. The automakers, conversely, would welcome expansion of the Tier 2 ranks. Including benefits, import automakers pay workers "in the high $40 range" per hour, according to an analyst, while Ford and GM pay about $59 in wages and benefits per hour. More Tier 2 workers on the rolls would let those two companies get labor cost parity with the competition. Fiat-Chrysler pays wages closer to the imports because of special exceptions in its UAW contract that allow unlimited Tier 2 hiring; those exceptions will end on September 14 and bring FCA into line with the other domestics, unless the new contract maintains them. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne is opposed to the two-tier system, having called it "almost offensive." One analyst says the UAW might win a sizable pay raise for Tier 2 and a small increase for Tier 1, but the keystone issue will be how the hiring matrix can help the automakers keep overall wages in line with the imports.

Watch these videos of an NHRA racer's bodywork blowing off into a crowd

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. Scroll down to watch a couple of videos showing what happened, including one from a fan's perspective that also reveals what appears to be part of the body's metal bracing landing dangerously close to the crowd.
