2015 Ford F-250 Lariat on 2040-cars
Blowing Rock, North Carolina, United States
Please contact me at : vellaveeames@wackyracers.net .
Great truck with lots of extras including: 2.5" lift, larger wheels/tires (new within last ~ 1k miles), Bakflip bed
cover, power retractable steps, upgraded stereo speakers/amplifiers (JL Audio), LED Light Bars/Bull Bar, LED
headlights painted to match body, tinted windows. Over $10K in upgrades.
Truck is in excellent condition. Never any wrecks/accidents. Roof was repainted due to scratch from parking garage
sign. Has been well maintained and most miles are highway. Selling as I bought a bigger trailer and got
freightliner sport chassis to tow it and don't need a Super Duty anymore. Have a Ford Raptor on order instead.
2015 was the year Ford upgraded their diesel motor and this truck's motor has never been modified/chipped. It is
crazy powerful and fast for a 3/4 ton truck straight from the factory. Consider that when looking at 2015 and
beyond and earlier models (go for the 15 or later!).
MSRP was $64,520 (photo of window sticker included) . Options included diesel motor ($8,480), 3.55 electronic
locking axle ($300), rubber mats ($75), FX4 Off Road Pkg ($295), Rapid Supplemental Heater ($250), 5th wheel prep
package ($370), Premium 20" wheels (replaced) ($1,375), Upfitter switches ($125), dual alternators ($380), Spray in
bed liner ($475), Lariat Ultimate Pkg ($2,685). Also have front grill painted to match body and replace chrome that
I never installed. Only flaw are dogs chewed on rear door panel on one side in back seat (picture included).

2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings
Mon, 29 Sep 2014While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.
Ford cleans up painting process with cameras
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Knowing how the bacon gets made rarely entices us and, in the same vein, the same usually goes for knowing about how new cars get painted. But in both instances, however, quality - or a lack thereof - is instantly obvious. In terms of the latter, Ford is showing off its new paint quality process with 3D Dirt Detection Technology to find imperfections in vehicle paint more easily and more quickly.
This process - being performed on the F-150 SVT Raptor above - uses 16 computer-controlled cameras to create a three-dimensional model (inset) of the vehicle to detect flaws in the paint including dirt particles, which can then be buffed out manually. Ford says this new technology cuts down on time spent looking for paint flaws and gives workers more time to correct those that are discovered.
Currently, Ford only uses its 3D Dirt Detection Technology system at three factories (the Dearborn, MI facility, along with those in Louisville, Kentucky and Valencia, Spain), but it will soon spread to five more plants in North America. Ford has released a video and press release for this innovative and unexpectedly interesting process, both of which are posted below.
Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
