Here it is a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty Diesel.  I bought this truck new from Galpin Ford in Panorama City and used it to commute from LA to Lancaster for work for a few years.  It was always 100%, runs easy and strong.  The mileage is virtually all highway miles with occasionally pulling a 16' trail that I used to have.  The Tires have tons of tread.  There is a 5th wheel hitch with trailer brake controller inside.  Also, the rear shocks can be adjusted with compressed air.  This truck will no doubt run for a long time to come and be a great asset to you, as it was me.  A couple of friendly head's up for full disclosure, I want you to be happy, the oil pan is leaking a bit of oil but nothing major through.  I'm told that it is a tough job due to the fact that there is some bar in the way.  and the automatic windows are aftermaket and has a bit of a rattle of something that's jiggling inside the door. Also, the bed of the truck as bit of wear and tear under the liner.  All normal wear and tear for this type of truck you won't be dissapointed.   sold in "as is" condition, please ask all questions prior to purchase and all sales are final, thank you

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally lands on Google board

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

Former Ford CEO Alan Mulally often referred to the Blue Oval as a technology company when he led the automaker. Now he'll be offering guidance to a different kind of technology firm: Google.
Mulally was appointed to Google's board of directors July 9, and late Tuesday, it was announced that he will serve on the company's audit committee. The veteran executive led Ford from September 2006 until he retired in June, succeeded by Mark Fields.
While Mulally will act as a board member - rather than in a managerial role - his presence adds credibility to Google's recently announced plans to produce an autonomous car. The ambitious program calls for 100 prototypes to begin testing later this summer. Production of the car is rumored to be in collaboration with a Detroit area performance company, Roush.

Ford recalls over 680,000 Ford Fusions, Mondeos, and Lincoln MKZs for seat belt pretensioners

Fri, Dec 2 2016

Update: We spoke with a Ford representative who said that owners will be notified by mail during the week of January 16 . Dealers will also have the fix available at the same time. Owners can bring in their vehicles to dealers for an evaluation in the mean time. The main text has been updated to reflect this. The Basics: Ford is recalling 680,872 2013-2016 Ford Fusions, 2015-2016 Ford Mondeos, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ s for an issue with front driver-side and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners. The Problem: The seat-belt pretensioners did not have sufficient insulation applied. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant. This can lead to injuries. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports two accidents and two injuries have occurred that are related to this recall. The fix: A dealer technician will inject an insulation coating around the pretensioner. This should effectively keep the heat away from the cables, ensuring the seat belt will properly restrain the user in a collision. If you own one: Affected owners will be notified by mail on the week of January 16. Dealers will have the fix available that week, and owners will be able to bring in their vehicles for the fix to be implemented free of charge. Related Video:

Ford brings FPV Falcon production in house [w/video]

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

For the first time since 1976, Ford of Australia is bringing the assembly of its stonking Ford Performance Vehicle line back in-house to the company's Broadmeadows and Geelong facilities. That's a point of pride for FPV, which builds high-performance versions of the Australian Falcon model like the F6, GS and the heroic GT seen here.
In the video below, we hear FPV employees talking in hushed tones about the important legacy that cars like the GT have for Australian gearheads of all stripes, and how proud they are to say that hand-built machines like this GT R-Spec with its Boss 355 engine are now rolling out of their home base. For our part, we're just dying to drive this version of the Coyote V8; the engine is rocking a "Miami" supercharger from Harrop and makes some 450 horsepower.
Continue on below for the video, or you can check out some images of the new FPV at the facility, as well as a gallery of the GT R-Spec car.
