Best starting Diesel I ever had, quiet running, pulls good drives very well. Air is ice cold heater works great. Quiet cab great brakes, shifts well, trans oil bright red.Leather seats have some punctures 3 or 4 seats are not torn good seats , but they are not new. Interior is fairly clean. Worst fuel mileage has been 12mpg loaded pullling car trailer best has been 21mpg loaded pulling same car trailer. Depends how you drive. All glass good.Cruise works, wipers everything works on this vehicle as near as I can tell. ask any question you like I will do my best to answer."

The truck has been a work truck it is not a garage kept baby.  This truck drives and feels like it will go forever.  I bought the truck from a dealer who said his friend was a stock car driver on week ends.  He said he maintained it well, but that he drove the truck to get to and from the race track.  I bought it cleaned it up and have used it for one 700 mile round trip pulling car on 20 foot trailer.  First trip I got 12mpg next trip was some what shorter and I got 21mpg pulling trailer. Go figure last time out 17mpg. Good power, great driver truck shows well however it has its character flaws worst dent on hood where something hit in one of Iowas great winds this spring, behind bug screen otherwise a couple of half dollar dings on box edge right side due to loading something in box before I bought the truck. It is a used truck not a wore out truck. I have a 90 f-350 dually 7.3 2 twoWD crew cab great truck not near the power or as nice will sell either one.  The 90 of course would be a lot less money you get what you pay for, isn't that so true.  Ice cold air , great heater very quiet truck going down the road. Starts at 15 degrees without being plugged in!  You would not believe how well this truck starts and runs.

Ford shows off V8-powered Ranger headed to Dakar Rally

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Avert your eyes now if you're jealous that the global version of the Ford Ranger is not offered in the US. Ford's midsize pickup is being tuned up to take on the 2014 Dakar Rally, and the result is a truck that is probably even cooler than any F-150 SVT Raptor we've ever seen in the States. Ford is actually building two versions of the truck for Dakar, which will run from January 5 through January 18, covering more than 5,000 miles from Argentina to Chile.
Starting with a fully composite body and a 5.0-liter V8 plucked from a Mustang, nearly every aspect of the trucks have been purpose built to take on the grueling race. This includes things like the six-speed sequential gearbox, liquid-cooled rear brakes and the 132-gallon fuel tank. As proof that Dakar is more about endurance than speed, the engines used in these race trucks will be limited to around 350 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and will max out at a top speed of just 105 miles per hour. Scroll down for Ford's official press release offering more information about the trucks and teams being prepped for Dakar.

Alan Mulally talks about why Ford's Falcon had to die

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

When Ford made the decision to end production of the Falcon sedan and Territory CUV in Australia, it wasn't a popular move Down Under. The large, four-door Falcon had been in production for 50 years, and while Ford has reaffirmed its commitment to the Australian market, it's understandable that some people still aren't all that crazy about the Blue Oval's decision.
Speaking to CEO Alan Mulally after Ford's Go Further event in Sydney, Australian site Go Auto reports that the decision was not one made lightly, and that the automaker is doing everything possible to respect the Falcon and Territory's "stakeholders." It's an interesting piece that shows a softer side of a corporation, while demonstrating that Ford is doing everything in its power to make the end of production as smooth as possible for all parties.
Head over to Go Auto for the full series of remarks from Mulally, and then let us know what you think of Ford's handling of the Falcon and Territory discontinuations, in Comments.
