2003 Ford F-250 Super Duty Xlt Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 6.8l on 2040-cars
Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Selling my F-250 XLT Super Duty, 4 Wheel Drive Sport Crew Cab with 8 inch lift. This truck is amazing! I don't want to sell it, but am downsizing to an SUV and something a little more family oriented. I will list everything about the truck below, but please feel free to CALL me. NO TEXTS. If you're interested in the truck, just dial me up and ask me anything about it. I will be honest and open with all aspects of this truck. It is an incredible truck, and turns heads every where I go. I mean everywhere. the paint looks great for an 03', and the body looks great as well. There is a small dent on the front right quarter panel (see pic) that is hardly noticeable. I have all of the service records and have given her regular maintenance and repairs since I've owned her. I have taken excellent care and all of the work has been done by either myself, the Ford dealership on Peachtree, or a very good fried who is a mechanic for lifted trucks. Basically, this truck runs fantastic. It drives straight as an arrow on the highway, and handles fantastic. This is priced to move quickly, so please do not ask for crazy negotiation prices.
I had a new V-10 engine put in 2 years ago ($8K), and it has just over 30,000 miles on it. Odometer shows 159k miles, so just over 30k on new engine. I also had new Gibson headers put on it last year. The engine is in immaculate condition and runs very very strong. The gear ratio was lowered slightly when the lift was put on, which gives it a ton of torque. I have well over 17k into the truck with ad-ons and upgrades, and it will give you many years of solid service. - 8 in Lift - 4X4 Off Road tow package - New Toyo Open Country M/T 37x13.5 R20LT - Black gorgesous XD Rims - Dual front Bilstein shocks. Single rear Bilstein shocks - K&N Overhead Air Filter - New Projector LED Headlights - Brand new leather seats. $2k. They are not covered. I had new leather and new padding added. They look awesome - New calipers and new brakes - Power seats - Tinted windows - Never smoked in - I only use Royal Purple synthetic oil, and have changed the oil every 4k miles. - Premium sound system. Kicker Subwoofer and JL amplifier behind back seat. (I WILL fix a wiring issue prior to selling the truck.) - There is a Cobra alarm system and electronic start keychain. I have the keychain to start it but have not used it in some time and WILL have it looked at prior to selling. Call me anytime. This truck is incredible, and you will love it. I can provide more pictures also. Thanks! Dan 404-six zero six - 3608 |

Who would win in a race if the Super Bowl teams were cars?
Sat, Feb 6 2016Until the last down is played this Sunday, we will have the annoyance pleasure of listening to analysts bicker between who will win the Super Bowl, not unlike automotive analysts who do the same thing with cars. If I had a dollar for every conversation about what car would win against another on a specific track, I wouldn't be buying the raw avocados this year for my guacamole. Instead I would be purchasing organic avocados and have the guacamole served in a Ferrari-themed bowl. Yes, those exist. Even so, we still watch year after year knowing full well that the pre-game analysis typically adds up to less than what is left over in the chip bowl after the last guest leaves. Let's take a different approach to analysis this year, let's compare these teams to their vehicle equivalent to decide who would win in a fair race. How do you determine a fair race? When I think of a fair race I think of the Nurburgring. A track that is 12.9 miles, has 1,000 feet of elevation change, and is famously nicknamed The Green Hell by famed driver Jackie Stewart. Although your Supra may beat The Flash himself in a straight line, chances are once you push it to the limits on a 12.9-mile track your brakes will smell like a bonfire and your suspension will have gone into cardiac arrest twice. So if we're racing The 'Ring, what are we driving? To best answer that question we must determine what characteristics define these teams. Not being someone who knows more about my fantasy league than my significant other, I can only go off what I have heard from "experts." The Panthers are honestly known for Cam Newton. Cam is a versatile, fast, brash, and fairly young quarterback. He apologizes for nothing and has Ali-like confidence that shows in his choice of Liberace-type attire. Although he looks to be the favorite, he hasn't yet won a Super Bowl and the team's second-half performances are less than climatic. In racing terms, he has won a lot but no one has seen him race in the dark at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Panthers have a ton of acceleration, a brand new chassis, and a driver who is hungry for that first big win. On the other side of the track are the Broncos. It seems as though the Broncos are known for two things, a nostalgic quarterback and a defense that could strike fear into a Honey Badger. If the Broncos were just one component of a vehicle they would be the brakes, and these brakes are outfitted for a locomotive.
Saleen SA-30 Mustang, Camaro and Challenger help celebrate the big 3-0
Fri, 22 Nov 2013After 30 years of tuning performance cars and building racecars, Saleen is celebrating its racing heritage with a limited-production car line called SA-30. Based on the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, Saleen will only build 10 of each SA-30 model at a base price of $95,000.
For that money, buyers will get upgraded suspension, brakes and engines, and while the power figures have not been released for the SA-30 620 Camaro and SA-30570 Challenger models, the SA-30 302 Mustang will be the top performer with 625 horsepower. Each car will be painted up in a custom pearl white hue with black and yellow accents, and get white wheels shrouding yellow powder-coated brake calipers. Inside, the SA-30 offerings will all get a proper Saleen interior with black leather and white Alcantara on the seats, along with the expected smattering of SA-30 badges.
On all three SA-30 models, customers will have various options available to further customize their cars, including a rear-seat delete option that transforms each car's cabin into a race-inspired interior with a chassis-strengthening rear cross brace. Perhaps the coolest feature of all, though, is the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass that is an option on the SA-30 302 Mustang. Similar to the Mercedes Sky Control roof first introduced on the Mercedes SLK, the Saleen Frost-Touch Glass allows the Mustang's optional glass roof and rear window to be switched from transparent to opaque at the push of a button.
Automakers tussle over owners of 'orphan' makes
Thu, 10 May 2012When General Motors put down several of its brands in recent years, it also let loose thousands of brand-loyal customers who will eventually need another car.
R.L. Polk Associates estimates there are more than 18 million cars from 16 discontinued makes on the road today. Those "orphan owners" have sales-hungry competitors seeing dollar signs. GM is offering Saturn owners $1,000 cash toward a Chevy Cruze, Cadillac CTS or a GMC Acadia. Ford is giving its Mercury lease customers a chance to get out of their contracts with no early-termination penalty and offering to waive six remaining payments if they drive off in a Ford or Lincoln.
Edmunds.com research shows the efforts are paying off somewhat for GM, with 39 percent of Pontiac owners, 37 percent of Hummer owners and 31 percent of Saturn owners taking delivery of another GM-branded vehicle. But that leaves as much as 69 percent of owners going elsewhere. Ford, Honda and Toyota seem to be attracting many former GM owners.
