***NO RESERVE AUCTION***

For sale is my 2001 F-250 Platinum Edition Crew Cab 4 Wheel Drive with the amazing 7.3L diesel and 223K miles. Runs great. New transmission, new water pump, new hub & stabilizer bars/sway bars, reworked 4-wheel drive system, New Batteries...all by Ford Dealership. Over $10,000 spent in the past year on scheduled maintenance....THAT YOU WILL NOT NEED TO DO. Mechanically it is running excellent, It does not smoke at all. Starts easily without plugging up block heater on cold days, but block heater does work and I use it. I would drive cross country tomorrow without hesitation. Cosmetically is has a few scratches/dings that are typical of a 2001, inside no tears in the seats, but the drivers side arm rest is cracked. Truck still looks amazing, google Platinum Edition and read more about the limited edition number that were made in 2001, really neat truck. Has brushed guard and Warn winch that works great. Truck has never been used to tow anything more the the occasional bumper pull trailer once twice a year. Many more extras, too many to list.

As you well know this is the 7.3 L diesel that they do not make anymore. Hard to get. And if it has been well taken care of they are worth every penny. This truck has never been chipped or programmed, virgin engine waiting for the next owner. I bought it from the original owner in 2003 with around 30,000 miles. Always been in the south. Never been in a wreck. I am selling because I need a 8 foot bed, not the 6 foot bed, and you better believe I am looking for another Ford 7.3. Amazing trucks. The truck is my daily driver and the mileage may change slightly...until I get a similar 7.3L replacement.

It does have a gauge pod with 3 SPA gauges (some of the sensors need to be reconnected). It has a rear deferential cover with air fins to assist with cooling as well as a transmission cover that in the same fashion. It has a break Controller for the rare occasion when I towed a trailer.

The truck is for sale locally, I reserve right to end auction early.

Feel free to call if interested in viewing. 423-834-2472

GMC Hummer EV SUV first drive, RIP Camaro, Ferrari Roma Spider | Autoblog Podcast # 773

Fri, Mar 24 2023

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by News Editor Joel Stocksdale. They start off with one of the week's biggest official news items — the impending death of the sixth-gen Chevrolet Camaro. On the subject of powerful American cars, they pivot to a teaser from Stellantis execs that there are big things ahead for its Dodge Charger SRT Daytona Banshee concept. From there, they look at Ferrari's new topless Roma and then get into Ford's multi-billion-dollar electric vehicle pivot. Speaking of expensive EVs, Joel just got back from driving the new GMC Hummer SUV. He also had the new F-150 Lightning Pro in his driveway, and that's followed by Greg's update on Autoblog's long-term Toyota Sienna.  Autoblog Podcast # 773 Get The Podcast Apple Podcasts – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes Spotify – Subscribe to the Autoblog Podcast on Spotify RSS – Add the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator MP3 – Download the MP3 directly Rundown News Chevrolet Camaro production will officially end after 2024 model year Dodge CEO teases more to come from Charger SRT Daytona Banshee Ferrari Roma Spider returns a front-engined soft top to the lineup Ford Model e losing billions as it says EV unit should be seen as startup What we're driving Ford F-150 Lightning Pro 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV 2023 Toyota Sienna Platinum AWD Feedback Email – Podcast@Autoblog.com Review the show on Apple Podcasts Autoblog is now live on your smart speakers and voice assistants with the audio Autoblog Daily Digest. Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.

Ford confirms launch of new Tourneo vans and Ecosport in Europe for Geneva

Sun, 24 Feb 2013

We've already seen plenty of what the Geneva Motor Show will have in store for us in less than two weeks, but most of the confirmed debuts that were announced so far have generally been luxury or performance cars. Ford, on the other hand, will be showing off a couple of its new family-friendly models for European buyers to enjoy.
On the larger side of things, the full range of Tourneo vans (shown above) will be on display, including the introduction of the new Tourneo Courier model, but Ford will also be showing off the all-new EcoSport crossover, which is based on the automaker's Global B platform and will be positioned beneath the Kuga, better known here as the Escape. The subcompact EcoSport was originally unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show last April.
