*** THIS TRUCK IS FOR SELL LOCALLY.... THEREFORE, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL *** THIS AUCTION AT ANYTIME PRIOR TO ANY BID BEING MADE.
KELLY BLUE BOOK (GOOD CONDITION) AVERAGE RETAIL PRICE,... $11,948!!!
You are bidding on my 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab truck. This truck has been used as a daily driver for me since I purchased it approximately a year and a half ago. My ONLY reason for selling this truck is because my employment situation has changed recently. I will no longer be working locally, however I will now be traveling the southeastern states on a weekly basis. I'm not gonna be driving 300-450 miles per day and I don't care to put that type of mileage on this truck. Therefore, as you will see, this truck will be awesome for the highest bidder. I have put my time, money and hard work into this truck to make sure it was as sound as possible,....now you can enjoy it! It will definitely be my loss!
Since I purchased the truck in Nov, 2011...
* I have put on a Flowmaster muffler with dual exhaust pipes ($250).
* The radiator ($325) was replaced with a new one at 142,000 miles.
* Less than 200 miles later after I finished the radiator,.... the transmission ($1300) went out on me, so I replaced it with exact same model from a 2005 model that had 28,100 miles on it. That was over 2000 miles ago and the transmission feels better that the original ever did.
* I also replaced the AC compressor ($240) in November 2012. I have not yet had the AC compressor charged ($100). * When the compressor was replaced, I went also replaced the serpentine belt. ($35)
I know the question will arise, so I'll tell you now.... the truck is gonna get 11-12 miles per gallon in town and about 14-15 on the highway. This is a great truck!! As you have read, I've made several repairs on this vehicle which should take the new owner many miles into the future! Majority of repairs have fallen upon me since I purchased this truck and I must say this truck will be a great buy for whoever wins this auction!
*****The only thing I would do to the truck additionally if I were keeping it is repair an exhaust leak. There is an exhaust leak on the drivers side. I have obtained quotes from several repair shops and what I have found is $400-$500 to fix it. If you know a "muffler guy", I'm sure that you can get it done cheaper. The compressor still needs to be charged.
Any repairs that I've made, condition of the truck and things that need repairing still (exhaust leak and compressor charge) were all taken into consideration when coming up with the starting bid price. Since I am running this as a true NO RESERVE auction, the high bidder will take it!
***TRUCK HAS A CLEAR AND SQUEAKY CLEAN TITLE. BILL OF SALE AND TITLING PAPERWORK WILL BE COMPLETED BY A NOTARY AT POINT OF PICK-UP. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT I DO HAVE A LIEN AGAINST THIS VEHICLE. , HOWEVER I WILL NEED TO SEND THE TITLE TO YOU 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS LATER. NO GAMES, NO GIMMICKS!!!!
If you have any questions regarding this truck please ask as I will answer them as quickly as I can.

Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool
Thu, Sep 3 2015Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.
