I have a 2000 ford f-250, it has the highly sought after 7.3 powerstroke diesel and 6 speed manual transmission. The truck has 169,940 miles but its my daily driver so that will go up. The truck has a clean title no wrecks. The truck is a lariat edition so its loaded up with leather seats and power everything. The interior is in very nice shape for a 13 year old diesel truck, its not been a work truck its very clean. the seats are in good shape, the carpet is good, still has the factory lariat floor mats. The body on the truck is in very good shape for a 13 year old diesel, it has some dents and a few small scratches but overall its clean, Theres no rust on the truck. The truck has some aftermarket add ons that make it a lot better truck. It has the ts 6 position chip, I get as much as 19 mpg on the highway and 16-17 around town. The truck has a dual disc clutch less than a year old, it holds great. It has a s&b cold air intake, muffler delete pipe, chrome tip, 18 inch pro comp wheels and 35 inch nitto terra grapplers, also has tinted cab lights and Harley Davidson f-250 headlights. The truck runs perfect and starts good, all the gears engage good and the drive train has no issues. I would not be afraid to go across the us in this truck tomorrow, It seems its a growing problem on ebay with people bidding items off and not paying for them, so I hate to ask but if you bid on the truck please call, email, or text me and let me know you are serious because im wore out with non paying bidders if not I will cancel your bid, Im selling at no reserve so bid to win, I will sale the truck before the auction ends so if your a serious buyer and have the money give me a call. 2014 is shaping up to be a big year for Ford Motor Company, as it's announced an onslaught of 23 new global product launches which will help create 5,000 new jobs in the US. As part of the new product push, three more manufacturing plants will be opened.
Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception
Tue, 25 Sep 2012It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
