This truck is all original and has never been abused. I am the third owner and you can research the records to find out the truth behind this beast. Never painted, no body work, no rust. No overhauled engine or hidden repairs needed. If you know what your looking you know how these trucks are and where you have to go to get them. This truck needs nothing. It is extremely clean with no tears in the interior or smoke filled cab with cigarette burns. Did I mention its original? I am extremely proud of this truck and what I have here. I enjoy driving it and it turns heads and gets compliments all the time.
It has a TS 5 stage tuner that the prior owner before me had installed with a 4" exhaust from the down spout back to the bed. I DO NOT hot rod or even turn the turner past 3 which is the recommended sitting for max fuel efficiency. It has no problem eating 17 miles a gallon all day long with dual rear tanks that function flawlessly. It has an after market air intake as well. The truck sounds great and runs even better. When I purchased this truck I took it to my friends house who is a certified Ford mechanic and had every intention of changing every fluid and filter in the truck. However when we got it up on the lift we discovered there was no need. Everything was clean, and no leaks present. I wish I could show this truck up close and let you judge it for yourself. It IS NOT perfect, its 16 years old but has been extremely well maintained and taken care of. There is NO Warranty. I am not an automobile dealership, just a guy who loves these old trucks.
Sooooooo, why am I selling do you ask????? As much I enjoy this truck it has always been a WANT. I do not NEED it. So I figure why not let someone who can actually use this type of power house use it for what it made for. Pulling the everlovin crap out of Chevys, and Dodges! No, just kidding..........maybe. Do with it whatever you want, its not going to say it doesn't like it or it cant take it. This truck doesn't quit and it never leaves you lonely.
Email or message with any questions,
Thanks,
Joe

GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings
Thu, 31 Jul 2014The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.
Ford Shelby GT350R, GT successor, F-150 Raptor and more rumored for Detroit debut
Mon, Dec 1 2014According to a pair of reports from Hearst's car mags, Car and Driver and Road & Track, Ford has a whole mess of good stuff on deck for the Detroit Auto Show in January. And it all sounds awesome. First, expect to see a hotter version of the Shelby GT350 in Detroit, likely called GT350R. Think of this as the already-hot Shelby with even more track-focused bits baked in – brakes, tires, aero, etc. Everything about the GT350 sounds great, so expect this R variant to be something seriously fierce. As R&T suggests, if the GT350 is the company's new Boss 302, the R is the Laguna Seca. But that's not even close to the biggest news. Road & Track believes a proper Ford GT replacement will debut in Detroit – a road-going version of the Le Mans GTE-class car the Blue Oval is working on for 2016. We've heard about this before, but having the street-legal car debut in Detroit would be absolutely huge news. The performance story continues, though, with R&T suggesting that the next-gen Ford F-150 Raptor will bow in Detroit. Details are scarce about what, exactly, the aluminum-bodied desert stormer will hold, but we expect good things. Finally, Ford's hot hatches might make some news in the Motor City, too. Car and Driver seems to think the all-wheel-drive Focus RS will bow in The D, and that an updated version of the Fiesta ST will also show its face. Road & Track, meanwhile, believes the Focus RS showing will be saved for a European auto show – think Geneva – and our gut feeling is to agree with the R&T theory. All of these rumors point to Ford officially announcing its dedicated performance division – like Mercedes-AMG, BMW M, and so on. We've heard reports of a new, global performance brand from the company already, with the name 999 thrown out as a possibility. In any case, if these rumblings prove to be true, there's going to be a ton to drool over from Ford in January. Stay tuned.
Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns
Wed, 22 May 2013Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.
