1996 F250 Xl Regular Cab Long Bed - 155k Miles - 5.8l V8 Efi - 4x4 -automatic! on 2040-cars
Eustis, Florida, United States
This truck is a beast! I have owned it for the past 6 years and just used it as the farm truck (just driving a few miles down the road to pick up hay and feed every couple of weeks). I have had the truck regularly serviced over the past 6 years and it just had a major service in January 2014. It has maybe been driven 6 or 7 times since then. Riding on 285/75R16s with GREAT tread on all 4. I have never had this truck let me down - starts first time, every time! White exterior - their is a dent in the door and also in the side fender (as photographed) Dual exhaust - it used to have 2 gas tanks but somebody "permanently borrowed" one of the tanks! So, the fuel gauge does not work as it was probably hooked up to the tank that went for a walk!! Interior is dry and clean with automatic gear, 4x4, am/fm stereo (it works), roll up windows, manual locks. Interior is blue. Truck has a 5.8L, V8 EFI engine (gasoline) Regular Cab Long Bed with new bedliner Ball hitch goes with the truck Exactly as photographed. The only reason the check engine light is on is because I only turned the key in the ignition, I did not start the truck. There are no warning lights on when the truck is running! Only selling as the truck is just sitting there and not being used! Sold as-is - no refunds, no returns. Please ask all questions prior to placing a bid and/or purchasing. You are welcome to come and inspect the truck by appointment only. Truck is located in the Mount Dora/Eustis, FL 32736 area. Clear title and registration in hand - truck is ready to go! Here's how much the new Ford Mustang will cost in Germany
Thu, Jan 8 2015While you can find Ford Mustangs across Europe, they were brought over there courtesy of importers, rather than Ford itself. That's changing with the 2015 pony car, as Ford will be selling it directly through its overseas dealers. Now, we know how much German customers will be shelling out for the muscle car, courtesy of the maniacs at Mustang6G. Not surprisingly, there's a fairly hefty premium compared to US prices. The base Mustang, with its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder and six-speed manual transmission will start at 34,000 euros ($40,214, at today's rates), while the 5.0-liter V8/six-speed-manual model starts at 39,000 euros ($46,127). The Mustang Convertible demands an extra 4,000 euros ($4,731) while the optional six-speed automatic elevates the price by 2,000 euros ($2,365), regardless, in both cases, of whether there are four or eight cylinders under that long hood. While those prices are certainly pretty dear compared to what we pay in the US, the Mustang is a genuine bargain compared to some of Europe's other sports coupes. The German market BMW 4 Series starts at 36,050 euros ($42,638), while a base 435i calls for 48,100 euros ($56,891). It's a similar story with the Audi A5/S5. As for the Mustang's arch-nemesis, the Chevrolet Camaro, which is only available with the SS model's 6.2-liter V8, starts at 39,990 euros ($47,298), comparing quite evenly with the 5.0-liter GT.
The 11 most expensive American cars ever
Tue, 12 Aug 2014Here's a Pro Tip for all you would-be classic car investors out there: buy Ferraris. With the Pebble Beach festivities kicking off this week, including any number high end car auctions, we thought it would be entertaining to compile a list of some to the most expensive cars ever sold with the bang of a gavel. Trouble is, once you get past the splendor of everyone's favorite Italian sports car maker, that list is pretty boring.
Ferrari dominates the all-time auction sales list; seven of the top ten most expensive cars sold wear the Cavallino Rampante badge, as well as more than half of the top fifty. Sure, a nearly $30-million Mercedes-Benz W196 racecar might be the new top dog as of last year, but it's even possible that Ferrari could take that title back in Monterey this weekend. Long story short: we think a list of the most expensive American cars ever sold at auction is a lot more entertaining to read. Hell, our list has a friggin' Batmobile on it, how can it go wrong?
Follow on below for the top ten cars that are red, white, blue and a whole lot of green.
Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.
