For sale very dependable and well maintained 1993 Ford F250. THIS IS A NICE SOUTHERN TRUCK FROM NORTH CAROLINA, NO RUST OR ROT. Has only been in Maryland 3 months. Clear title. It has a 4.9L straight 6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Manual windows and door locks. Interior is in good condition, no rips in the seats. A/C blows cold, installed a electronic condensor fan to help with cooling while sitting in traffic. Old enough to have historic tags, no inspection required, no emissions testing. Here is what is new in the past 2 years since I do not drive it much anyhow. New water pump, radiator, thermostat, condensor, a/c compressor, a/c hose assembly and load range E tires, heavy duty for heavy hauling 9/32 tread on all tires. Also installed within past 3 months is an Air Ride brand air lift kit, 5000 lbs capacity. Has a new brake controller installed as well, the power wire has been run to the fuse area but not hooked up. Mechanic owned, the reason I am selling it is because I needed a bigger truck to pull my new larger trailer, its 34 foot long and weighs 11000 lbs so just to much trailer for the truck. I have already bought the larger truck and this one is just sitting so time to go. The bad is the paint. This would make a great work truck or just something to have as a spare, will pull a small travel trailer or large pop up with no problem or medium size boat.
On Jul-09-13 at 03:28:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
Red brake light is on because parking brake is set. The ABS light has blinked since I have owned the truck. It is RWABS only so it would only prevent rear lockup during panic stop. ABS light on/or blinking does not fail Maryland State Inspection.

Pickup prices rising at 2x industry average
Tue, 11 Jun 2013We've said it before, but bears repeating: Pickup trucks are the financial engines of America's automakers. Good thing, then, that the segment is in rude health - in fact, Automotive News is suggesting that pickup truck sales are arguably healthier than they were pre-recession, even though the segment's volume is still significantly down from where it was before the bottom fell out of the US economy. That's because per-unit profits on full-size trucks are skyrocketing, outpacing the industry's average price increases by more than double since 2005. According to data from Edmunds, the average transaction price of a full-size pickup is now $39,915 - a heady increase over the $31,059 average price in 2005 - a gain of over 8 percent after inflation is factored in.
Just how important are trucks to automakers' bottom lines? Automotive News quotes a Morgan Stanley analyst as saying the Ford F-Series is responsible for 90 percent of the company's 2012 profits, and General Motors isn't far behind, with the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins chipping in about two-thirds of the automaker's earnings.
Automotive News points out that Detroit's automakers now have the money to invest in modernizing their full-size truck offerings, in part because they don't have the same overhead and legacy costs that pushed General Motors and Chrysler into bankruptcy. Certainly, the pickup segment has seen a lot of innovations as of late, including turbocharged V6s, coil-spring rear suspensions and active aero. Those improvements in important areas like fuel economy and ride comfort have given existing pickup buyers new reasons to upgrade. In addition, automakers are piling on the tech and luxury goodies, creating more and more high-content, high-profit models like the Ford F-150 King Ranch, Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and Chevrolet Silverado High Country (shown).
NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
J Mays' legacy
Fri, 15 Nov 2013
Mays is by far not the first designer to use heritage design cues in his work.
The announcement that J Mays will be leaving his chief creative officer role at Ford Motor Company on January 1 ends a 13-year run in one of the industry's top design roles. While best known for having a hand in reborn classics like the Volkswagen New Beetle, Ford Mustang and Thunderbird (above), Mays' legacy is more complicated and nuanced than being considered the father of what is known as "retrofuturism".
