1992 Ford F-250 7.3 litre Diesel with ATS Turbo system. This truck runs and drives unbelievably strong! The bullet proof 7.3 Navistar V8 Diesel has been upgraded with a K&N Filter system and an ATS Turbo system. The transmission shifts very firmly and has obviously been beefed up for towing, and the truck also has dual fuel tanks.The Air conditioner blows very cold, and the interior is in great shape, especially considering it's age. The truck does have a few exterior dents, all of which you should be able to see in the pictures. The plastic bezel that surrounds the instrument cluster is broken, but I've ordered one and it's on it's way.The heavy duty Firestone Truck tires have excellent tread, and look almost new. The truck starts up immediately, and runs smoothly. The brakes and suspension feel good and the truck doesn't wander or make any strange noises. I have so much confidence in this truck, I am selling it "No Reserve" I try to describe all of my vehicles as accurately as possible, but any and all questions are welcomed and indeed encouraged! Evo grabs Ford's Fiesta R5 rally car by the scruff
Wed, 04 Sep 2013Evo and host Henry Catchpole were thinking of excuses reasons to borrow the bonkers Ford Fiesta R5 rally car for a day or two, when it struck them: the car is street legal. With access to the R5, some of the world's most beautiful driving roads in the English Lake Country nearby, and a handy video crewing hanging around, the plan seemed to write itself.
Based on the resulting video, it was a good plan. Without spoiling the video for you - something we can't really do in text as the best part is listening to the rally car run - Catchpole finds the Fiesta to be sublimely quick and massively satisfying. Even taking the car for a spin on a pseudo rally stage, after leaving the English countryside, does nothing but add to his assessment of the beastly little Ford. Bill Ford augments his power by nearly doubling stake of supervoting shares
Fri, 28 Jun 2013Bill Ford Jr. has more sway than ever over the automaker that bears his surname, as the great-grandson of Ford's founder has reportedly doubled is holdings of Class B Ford stock. According to a report from Reuters (which cites a newly discovered securities filing), he acquired some 3.7 million Class B shares from an unnamed family member.
Class B shares of Ford stock are held by descendants of Henry Ford and offer expanded voting power to their holders - Bill Ford Jr. now controls roughly 11.5 percent of the total Class B pool. Ford Jr. is also a one of five trustees that manage a voting trust that oversees the majority of these "supervoting" shares. In total, Reuters reports there are 71 million Class B shares that account for 40 percent of the voting power in the company, despite making up just 2 percent of the total volume of all Ford stock.
Ford Jr. served as Ford's CEO until 2006, when he stepped down to hire and make space for current CEO, Alan Mulally. The move to consolidate Ford family voting power, at least somewhat, is seen by many as a comforting sign with Mulally's departure from the company likely to happen in the next several years.
