I have the trim for both sides of the bed as shown. The steering wheel is missing the horn ring and there is a 6x9 speaker hole cut into each door panel. Other than that it is all there and all stock."

Check out this barn find from the sleepy Eastern Washington town of Colfax. This well preserved 1967 Ford F250 pickup is showing less than 80k miles and is very, very straight and stock. It has the original 352 v8 engine and everything under the hood is how it came from the factory. It has a 4-Spd manual trans with a compound low gear, commonly referred to as a stump puller. The truck runs great and is fun to drive. One hint as to why it was sitting in storage was the badly worn front tire. After having a new set of kingpins professionally installed (can show receipts) and getting the front end all adjusted I had brand new tires put on the front. Now it goes down the road really nice and is safe to drive. I just put a new radiator in it as well. Looks like it will need a heater core too. I have it bypassed for now. As this truck is returned to regular service other issues could crop up, but it looks to be in remarkably good shape. Check out the laser straight front bumper and grille.  Picked up two original hubcaps for it, but it still needs a steering wheel horn ring. Otherwise it looks to be complete. Even the original manual is still in the glove box!  Clean and clear title in my name at my current address.  Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions.

NHTSA releases updated Takata airbag recalled cars list, but it still has errors

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Unfortunately, the government's list still contains errors.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued an updated list of vehicle models that it's urging owners to repair under the mushrooming Takata airbag inflator recall. The latest version adds vehicles from new automakers like Subaru and Ford that are missing from the original announcement, and it also removes erroneous entries from General Motors, leaving only the 2005 Saab 9-2X (a reskinned Subaru WRX), and the 2003-2005 Pontiac Vibe, a joint project with Toyota.

Autoblog Podcast #327:

Watch this lead sled go rallying in Finland

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Custom cars generally fit into neat little boxes in terms of how they are used. For example, you're unlikely to see a modded Corvette going rock crawling; it's just not what it's made for (though we bet it'd look awesome, for a minute). In the same way, chopped, channeled and customized '50s hot rods aren't really meant to go racing. They look great and go fast, but they are generally more cruisers than sports cars.
However, if this video is any indication, the people of Finland don't adhere in these stereotypes, because this rodder is happy to play in the dirt with his lead sled.
According to the video, the driver is a member of the Ford-Freak Club of Finland, and he clearly knows how to have some fun. Possibly inspired by his country's great rally drivers, he gets the tail way out going around this gently curving gravel track. The stunt is somewhat reminiscent of the stock cars races on the sand at Daytona Beach, and this is probably close to what it sounded like too. Scroll down to watch a very cool Finn getting his hot rod a little dirty.
