This 1955 Ford F-250 has had all of the heavy lifting done in its restoration and there is not much left to finish the job. It has the original 239 cu. in. 8 cylinder engine, which runs smooth and strong. The door windows have anti-vibration mechanisms, enabling them to raise and lower smoothly. The truck is definitely not a bondo-bucket. This is an extremely low mileage farm truck and that is why the floors, doors and rockers are all rock solid and rust free. The brakes are completely restored and function properly. I have loads of receipts and it wont take much more to turn this into a $20k - plus show piece.
The original bed was the only portion of the truck that did not stay covered when it was on the farm, so it was scrapped but if you want them, it does come with an un-restored scuffed up replacement bed, used left & right rear fenders and a set of running boards that are in fair shape, just not as pristine as the cab. A stake-bed would look great on this truck and the drive train can handle just about anything you put on it... certainly more than a F100. The final wiring for the lights is still left to do but fortunately, these trucks are about as simple as they come. It has a brand new 12 volt alternator installed but all of the components of the original 6 volt system are included and easy enough to swap out if you want to stay old school with it. It also has a new, high-dollar Optima Battery in it.
The truck is stored indoors and I am available to show it on short notice. If you are new to eBay and only have a few auctions under your belt, it would be a good idea to call me before bidding even if you are confident that you know what you're doing.

Ford and GM link bonus checks to quality scores
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The poor first quarter earnings of Ford and General Motors are having an effect all the way up the food chain. Both automakers struggled with recalls in the first three months of the year, and, according to The Detroit News, they have responded by increasing the percentage of bonuses tied to vehicle quality for salaried workers, including top executives.
GM announced that 25 percent of bonuses (up from 10 percent) for all salaried workers would be tied to its vehicle quality standards. The automaker revealed in its financial report that it spent $1.3 billion on recall-related repairs in the first quarter, and net income was down 86 percent.
Ford also increased the quality proportion of bonuses for about 26,000 salaried workers all the way up to CEO Alan Mulally from 10 percent to 20 percent. The company announced in its report that the amount paid out in warranty and recall claims was about $400 million higher than expected in the first quarter. Its net income fell 39 percent from the previous year. "The change reflects how critical quality is to our overall business," said spokesperson Todd Nissen speaking to Autoblog.
Ford could use Raptor name on Ranger in Australia
Sun, Jun 14 2015Ford might be flying the Raptor name into the market Down Under, but rather than on a high-performance F-150, the aggressive moniker could be used for a mean Ranger. The Australia-based site Car Advice recently spotted the Blue Oval testing a modified Ranger over some off-road terrain. The pickup was equipped with a snorkel over the roof for wading into deep water, a brush bar to protect the front, a higher ride height, and fender flares. The regular version of the truck launches Down Under later this year, including the somewhat rugged Wildtrak trim level (pictured above). So where does the Raptor name fit into this? Ford filed a trademark in Australia on June 5 for the Ranger Raptor. There's no guarantee for that as the truck's moniker, though. As of May 28, the Blue Oval also owns the right to the Ranger FX4 title. Although, don't start saving yet. With the Ranger remaining unavailable outside of the US for the latest generation, there's no chance of a Ranger Raptor coming here. Hopefully, Aussie off-roaders get plenty of enjoyment out of the truck, if it sees production. Related Video:
Ford adds third shift at F-150 plant to keep up with demand
Tue, 06 Aug 2013The signs have been very positive for Ford's F-Series line of pickup trucks as of late, and after 24 consecutive months of increasing sales of the best-selling F-150, the automaker has added a third production crew at its Kansas City Assembly Plant that includes 900 new hourly workers to meet demand for the truck. This the first step in Ford's plan to add 2,000 hourly jobs at the plant to help meet demand for its trucks and to begin production of the new Transit van, the automaker says.
Despite some tough new competition, sales of the F-Series are the strongest they've been since 2006, according to Ford. The automaker sold 60,449 F-Series in July, the best sales figure for the mid-summer month since 2006, which also represents a 23 percent increase compared to July 2012. From January to July 2013, sales were up 22 percent compared to the same period last year.
Ford has committed to creating 12,000 hourly jobs by 2015, and with the 900 new employees added to the assembly plant in Missouri, the company says it has completed 75 percent of its goal. Ford has also invested $1.1 billion to retool and expand the Kansas City Assembly Plant to ready it for Transit production. Take a look at the press release below for more job and F-Series sales information.
