Ford: F-150 Ext on 2040-cars
San Diego, California, United States
Hello Most of the stock info is found above! although there is after market gear on this truck including- Tinted windows (front and back), Off-road led Lights (front), Led reverse flood lights, Back-up camera, Halo projection headlights, Led blue F-150 lights (on when doors open), Raptor style Led lights in the grille, Brand new bed-liner with Lifetime Warranty, Running boards with loading lights, Leveling kit on the front, 20 rims and tires, ford Lariat rims. Both rims and tires are only 8 months old. Brakes were replaced about 3 months ago both pads and rotors. Recent repairs done to the truck include a new torque converter, New shutter torque valve, Drive shaft resealed (recalled by ford) All these repairs have been done by ford under the after market warranty the truck has on it. I do have the receipts for repairs. the interior of it is in good condition this was a Non smoker truck so there is no weird smells or burns. In the back seat there is a small bleach stain on the carpet and some light stains in the front seats that will clean up. The truck has a aftermarket warranty on it through my credit company it covers everything under the silver coverage in the picture attached. the warranty has a $100 deductible which beats any repair cost. The only problem the truck has is when the tires were put on they did not put the pressure monitors back in so there is a light on the dash because there is no link. I was quoted $75 for them from America tire. The registration on the truck is good till December of 2016. These trucks sell for $19,000 at Carmax with no warranty. The truck has been inspected and is perfectly fine all over there is no frame damage and no evidence of any impact I wasnt the owner at the time so I have no details of it. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thank you

Auto investor Kirk Kerkorian dead at 98
Wed, Jun 17 2015Kirk Kerkorian, among the most talked-about investors in the American auto industry in recent memory, died at the age of 98 in Los Angeles on Monday, June 15. The billionaire ran the investment company Tracinda Corp. and was the largest shareholder in MGM Resorts International. Kerkorian attempted to use his power as a well-financed investor to push the auto industry in some fascinating ways. In 2006, he used his nearly 10-percent stake in General Motors to push a merger with the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The deal made it as far as discussions, but eventually fell through. Kerkorian also attempted to purchase Chrysler - twice. According to Automotive News, the first effort came in 1995 with a $22.8-billion offer for the automaker, and soon after it failed the company merged with Daimler. Then in 2007, Kerkorian was back with a bid for $4.5 billion, but things eventually fell to Cerberus. The billionaire finished the trifecta by buying up $1 billion in Ford stock in 2008 to make Kerkorian the single largest investor in the company. However, the situation didn't last long, and by the end of that year, he had unloaded the shares. According to Automotive News, Kerkorian was ranked by Forbes as the world's 41st richest man in 2008 with a net worth of $16 billion. Ford recalling 126,000 Fusions and Milans over wheel separation concern
Fri, 09 Dec 2011Ford has announced a recall of certain Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan vehicles after an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. A total of 128,616 2010 and 2011 models equipped with steel wheels may have been manufactured with wheel studs that could crack and split over time. If that happens, the vehicle may experience a wheel separation.
According to The Detroit News, the company is aware of a total of 30 wheel separation incidents, one of which occurred on the front of the vehicle. Even so, no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect.
The problem apparently stems from the fact that the mounting pads on the vehicles' steel wheels may have been faulty from the factory. In addition, the wheel mounting face on rear disc brakes may not have been installed properly. Ford will inspect the rear disc face and replace them as necessary. In addition, the company will replace all of the vehicle's wheel studs free of charge. Head to the NHTSA website for more information, and click past the jump to view the full recall notice.
Ford of India in hot water for Figo celebrity bondage ads
Fri, 22 Mar 2013Apparently sensibilities in India, at least in the case of some Ford marketing partners, are downright lascivious at times. Case in point are a new series of print ads, presumably touting the vast cargo capacity of the Ford Figo hatchback, that involve more than a whiff of T&A, S&M and other sexy abbreviations.
In all seriousness, the advertising campaign is taking some major heat in the Indian press for being outrageously sexist. All three images - which seem to be produced by a graphic artist with some Heavy Metal work in his/her portfolio - show bound and gagged people stuffed into the Figo's boot. With a tagline reads, "Leave Your Worries Behind." one version features a peace-sign throwing Silvio Berlusconi holding hostage three buxom and barely clad women, all wearing ball gags with hands and feet bound. Charming. Another version shows Paris Hilton similarly kidnapping a trio of Kardashians, while a third (tame in terms of the clothing at least), has Michael Schumacher toting Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton.
Clearly in bad taste, at least, the Indian source also questions the timing of these risqué Ford ads, as the follow by days new anti-rape legislation passed by the Indian Parliament. Ford has responded in a statement, that it and its advertising partner (JWT India) "deeply regret" the ads, and claim that they "never should have happened."
