PLEASE NOTE: When I had owned this pickup for only a few months, a lady entering a parking lot ran into me damaging this vehicle in the area of the driver’s side front fender. Repairs involved replacing the front fender, headlight, front bumper, left front wheel, and associated parts. All repairs were done with Ford factory original parts and up to Ford dealership standards. I have driven the vehicle since then and putting approximately 30,000 of the 40,000 miles on it and can personally testify of the good quality of the parts and workmanship in making them. I am sort of picky but even in my opinion the body work was excellent, the pain match was perfect. The vehicle tracks exactly as it should and there is no wind noise or leaks. I have since driven the truck from Virginia to Colorado at appropriate speeds and the truck is solid, smooth, and comfortable even after hours on the road. The only reason that I am selling this pickup is I acquired a much newer version and as good as these trucks are, I do not need two that almost look alike.
Condition: · Except for a couple of very small dings, this truck looks new. (1 on the tailgate, 1 on the back of the cab just above the bed, 1 on the driver’s door, and a small scratch on the bottom of the grille. None can really be seen in any of the photos.) · As you can see from the photo showing the trip computer, this pickup routinely gets 18 miles per gallon combined city and trip gas mileage. I have got as much as 22 mpg on trips.
TERMS & CONDITIONS DEPOSIT: Deposit of $500 must be paid within 24 hours of auction close. Pay Pal is highly recommended. PAYMENT: Vehicle will not be available for pickup until full payment is received and cleared by my local bank. Balance to be paid by cashier check or cash. Funds will be verified before vehicle is released. WARRANTY: NONE. As is. I will NOT be responsible for any repairs once the vehicle has been turned over the new owner. It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to inspect the vehicle before the purchase. If the buyer desires to have a reputable mechanic or a dealership in the Lexington Kentucky area inspect the vehicle before the purchase and at the buyer’s expense, I will cooperate fully.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."
How the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor became a reality
Wed, 01 May 2013The camouflaged Ford F-150 SVT Raptor prototype captured above blazing its way across the desert during a test run left company engineers giggling in amazement, reveals Jamal Hameedi in a new Autoweek video. Ford's global performance vehicle chief engineer, accompanied by senior exterior designer Bruce Williams, sat down with the publication to discuss the concept and development of the automaker's super off-road F-150.
Designing a high-performance pickup in 2008, right when the cost of gasoline was going through the roof, seemed insane at the time, but the team pushed forward with the innovative vehicle regardless. The interview includes plenty of Ford B-roll footage as visual candy, and the conversations include discussions about exterior design, ride comfort, anti-lock brake tuning, suspension engineering, weight reduction and why it was necessary to make the Raptor visually different than Ford's standard F-150. The model's origin story is very interesting, and you can learn more about it by watching the video below.
Ford C-Max spot aimed squarely at Cadillac ELR 'Poolside' hubris [UPDATE]
Thu, Mar 27 2014If we had tried to predict the first video response to the controversial Poolside video for the Cadillac ELR, we would not have thought it would center on compost. But, hey, it's always nice to be reminded that the real world is sometimes better than fiction. Instead of the chic swagger of 'Poolside,' 'Anything Is Possible' is all about getting dirty. The new short in question is called Upside: Anything Is Possible and it promotes two things: Detroit Dirt and the Ford C-Max Energi. As in the ELR ad, Ford's plug-in C-Max only makes an appearance at the tail end of the spot, but instead of the chic swagger of Poolside, Anything Is Possible is all about getting dirty. The ad stars Pashon Murray, co-founder of Detroit Dirt, which takes natural waste from around Detroit, composts it into soil and then spreads that around "forgotten parcels" of Detroit to create urban farms. Detroit Dirt gets its bio-waste from a lot of sources, including the Detroit Zoological Society (all that herbivore manure has to go somewhere), Ford and General Motors, but this particular ad was the idea of Ford's PR agency, Team Detroit. It was a frenetic shoot, filmed with an LA-based director right after a big winter storm blew through Detroit, and Murray couldn't be happier with the result. "This was Ford Motor Company pushing my story, letting me tell the story that I believe in," Murray tells AutoblogGreen. "I get to help push this car and I get to tell my story." She says that the Team Detroit and Ford had to agree on the message, "from my understanding, [YouTube] is where they wanted to start, not where they wanted to finish." The ad is already getting a positive response on Twitter, so we won't be surprised if it shows up in more places soon. "It's not saying Ford is better than GM. It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." As Detroit Dirt has off-screen support from both GM and Ford, it's unsurprising to hear Murray say that the video "is not a rivalry thing." She notes that the ad agency Team Detroit came to her and offered to tell the Detroit Dirt story using the framework of the GM ad. "It's a parody on this commercial, but it's not saying Ford is better than GM," she said. "It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." What is that story? It's about urban farming, recovery and recycling. Murray tells us that for the last seven or eight years, she's been dedicated to sustainability.
