2012 Ford F-150 Fx4 Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
Here's a chance to get a used truck that is as close to new as used can be. The mileage is absolutely correct. I had this truck a year and a half but it has spent most of that time in my garage. The truck was purchased locally at Keith Hawthorne Ford in Belmont NC brand new. It has every option I wanted. I did not want a sunroof, navigation, or Sony audio. So, it DOES NOT have sunroof, navigation, or Sony audio. Please no questions about these items. The truck is 100% stock with the exception of legal 35% tinted front windows, a DeeZee tailgate assist, and a ProTecta bed mat. The tint was professionally installed by Lightening Mike's, has a lifetime warranty, and is legal in NC. The DeeZee tailgate assist simply lets the tailgate down at a slow controlled speed so it does not slam open. The bed mat protects the painted bed and is made in the USA. MSRP $45,510. Please look at pictures for price breakdown. I have all the manuals, both smart keys, and the original window sticker. If you buy this truck you will get everything you would at the dealership except for the higher price and you will get the add-ons worth $250. I sold my last F-150 on Ebay Motors to someone from Iowa. He flew in, I picked him up from the airport, we did the paperwork at my bank, and he drove off happy. There should be no issues in this private sale. However, I know from doing this before some of the questions so I will answer them now. The vehicle is perfect. Not a scratch. No wrecks. Clean Carfax. I did not have 3000 miles on the truck within the first 12 months so I had it serviced on the time interval and I have the paperwork for this. I am selling this truck because it is a fourth vehicle and I am about to buy another SUV plus as you can tell I never drive it. With this truck being so new it will be like buying a new one off the lot. And being garaged and never being driven with the windows down it still smells new. The truck is financed through Ford Motor Credit and there is a payoff. This should not pose any problem as it never has before. The title will be sent to your finance company or to you if not financed. Also, NO trades and NO payments. I have been asked both before. This vehicle is for sale ONLY! Trucks has all the good stuff: Black on Black Color. Fog Lamps. Locking Tailgate. Removable Tailgate. Integrated Back Up Camera in Tailgate. Power Everything, Windows, Locks, Mirrors, Mirror Folding, Seats, Pedals, Rear Sliding Window, Etc. Seriously Nice Rubber Catch All Floor Mats. Sirius Radio. Towing Pkg. Voice Activated Sync That Pairs With Smart Phones. Remote Start. Reverse Beeping Plus Camera View in Rear View Mirror. Heated/Cooled Leather Seats. A Household Style Electrical Plug. FX Style Running Boards. 20 Inch FX Gunmetal Rims. Trailer Brake Controller. Tailgate Step That Still Has The Plastic On the Handle. Built In 3 Door Garage Opener. 4.2 Inch LCD Screen That Controls Everything. Even Zoom In On the Trailer Tongue With Your Camera! Online TRADE IN Values For Clean Trade-In: KBB=$37,875 NADA=$34,550 Black Book=$34,270 Edmunds=$32,684 Also, I have actual trade-in offers by two local Ford Dealers. One is $33,500. The other is $34,000. The one dealer was very honest as to what he was going to do with my truck. He was going to Certify it and sell it as a Ford CPO vehicle listing it at near $40,000 and selling it for around $38,000 using the CPO low financing and extended warranty to make it more attractive than a new truck. That said, I am fully open to dealers contacting me to make me an offer. I will not be greedy. I have listed this truck for what I feel is a fair price after looking at online price guides and getting real world trade-in offers. There is really nothing to compare this truck to because there are no other ones with this low mileage. There is always room to negotiate as I do not like 'firm' prices myself. All offers will be taken seriously but I would appreciate serious inquires only. Loan to Value should not be an issue on this truck. The above values are for trade in and not retail. The asking price of is over $9,000 off of the sticker price, includes the add-ons, and remember there is no dealer cost like the dreaded $500 plus doc fee. I'm a private seller, NO doc fee! Plus, as the listed price is so close to trade in value you will not be upside down immediately like when buying a new truck. Please feel free to contact Tim with any questions. I work so I may not be able to get to my phone but please leave a message and I will call you back as soon as possible or please try later in the evening. (704)293-4753. I will remove this listing as soon as there is a deal in place so if you are reading this I should still have the truck for sale. For more pictures please email me and I will email you a link to more pictures. Please include if you want a specific picture. However, remember, if you want to know what this truck looks like just go to a dealer and look at a new one. Thanks for looking. |

Plethora of 2015 Ford F-150 customs runs the gamut at SEMA
Wed, 05 Nov 2014
Of Ford's customized trucks, two feature the name of famous Ford racers.
Of all the OEMs making appearances at the 2014 SEMA show, Ford owns arguably the most significant group of vehicles, thanks to its new 2015 F-150 and Mustang. While you can look for our Mustang coverage soon, we've managed to sneak out and get snaps of some of a few of the F-150s on display at the company's sprawling, 20,000-square-foot display (look for even more aftermarket F-150 goodness in the coming days).
Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
Jay Leno drives postcard-perfect '32 Ford Highboy Roadster
Mon, 25 Aug 2014At the turn of the century, it was arguably the Honda Civic that best defined inexpensive performance tuning, and in the '50s it was the Tri-5 Chevys. One of the earliest platforms to gain a huge following among young people looking for a cheap way to go fast was the classic '32 Ford Highboy Roadster. This week, Jay Leno's Garage looks at one of the very first vehicles that defined the look of the hot rod heyday.
This '32 Ford was built in the '40s and graced the cover of the fourth issue of Hot Rod Magazine back in 1948. All of the hot rods that you see shining at car shows today owe a serious debt of gratitude to this roadster. It bears all of the cues that define the look, including a notched frame and hidden door hinges. Under the three-piece hood is a flathead V8 boasting all sorts of period modifications, including copper cylinder heads. It was seriously fast in its era too, and proved it by reaching 112.21 miles per hour on a dry lakebed in 1947.
These days, this hot rod is on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Although, if you can't make it to California to see it, the United States Postal Service is celebrating this Ford with one of its two hot rod Forever stamps. Like Jay says in the video, in terms of hot rodding, "it all comes back to this." Check out the video to learn more about this rolling piece of tuning history.
