2009 Ford F150 FX4 Super Crew.  I purchased this truck new in 2009.  I have been the only owner and only driver.  I do tow a 4,000 pound boat from time to time, but other than that, the truck has done no heavy work.  I am a sales representative and use it as my daily driver.  I do not haul or do heavy work.  We use the truck to put the kids bikes in the back, etc.  NO RESERVE!

Outside of truck is a 8.5/10.  I have always kept it clean and waxed.  It does have 2 door dings.  One in the driver side and one in the rear passenger door.  Neither is large as you can see in the pictures.  There are some rock chips on the front of the truck as you would expect from a 4 year old truck.  The paint is almost showroom new.  There is no fading and no major spider webs.  Glass is good all the way around.  Wheels are 100%, no curb rash, etc.

Tires are Nitto Terra Grappler.  Size 325/70 R18.  They have about 25-30% life left in them.  I am purposely placing the price of this truck below market because I realize whomever buys it will have to replace tires in the next 10K miles.  I purchased these Nitto's at National Tire and Battery, and the total cost installed was about $1,100.00.    Also, I had a front end leveling kit installed at Mike's Off Road in Fort Worth Texas.  It raises the front end 2.5 inches so it is level with the back end.  The kit makes the truck stand tall, but without a crazy lift to it.  Bed of the truck has a Rhino Liner spray in bed liner.  There are no cuts, etc in the liner.  As I mentioned, I have never put anything heavier than mulch in the back.

Brakes are new all the way around in the last 5K miles, oil was replaced every 5K miles with semi synthetic long haul oil.  I have always rotated the tires when the oil was changed. I have all receipts and all original paperwork, owner's manuals, keys, fobs, etc.

Interior of the truck is a 9.5/10.  There are no stains, no rips, no tears.  The all weather mats are brand new all the way around.  I wore out the driver side and as luck would have it, you can only purchase them as a set, so they are all new.  The only interior flaw is a spot on the leather steering wheel where I rest my hand while driving.  The seats as you can see have no cracks, no splits, etc.  Truly this is a very nice truck.  I get lots of compliments.

This truck has never been abused.  The only time I have used 4 wheel drive is to pull the boat out of the lake when the ramps get algae on them, and the few times we have had snow in North Texas.  Everything works in the truck.  There is nothing this truck needs.  I am in outside sales and am in my auto all day long.  It is just time for a change.

On Jan-17-13 at 05:30:57 PST, seller added the following information:

I have had a lot of questions about the truck.  Let me answer some:

It has never been smoked in.  I am not a smoker.  It does have the smoker package (lighter, ashtray) but neither has ever been used.  It still smells like leather inside.  I keep it very clean.
It has never been in an accident.

I have lowered the buy it now price because I have been getting a lot of offers offline.  Feel free to check Autotrader.com, Cars.com, Ebay listings, etc.  You will not find another F150 FX4 in this condition with these options and miles for less than $23K.  Remember, I am asking less because I know whomever buys it will have to replace tires in the next year.

Feel free to call me with any questions or if you would like to look at the truck

5 classic trucks and their polarizing modern revivals

Sun, Mar 3 2024

EVs are helping eliminate Detroit's gas-guzzling problem. Some revivals of gas-powered classics are getting the EV treatment.  But not every revived model looks exactly like its original counterpart. We're in a new era of hulking Detroit metal, and you can thank EVs. Americans can't get enough of their big, beefy trucks and SUVs. But for many years, some of the biggest gas guzzlers fell out of fashion as gas prices rose and emissions regulations tightened. But in the past few years, some of the most iconic American truck nameplates have been brought back to life with electric motors, like the GMC Hummer. In other cases, as with the Ford Bronco, improvements in engine technology and more interest in rugged adventure vehicles made a gas-powered revival possible. Even some revivals that started as gas-powered, like the Chevy Blazer and the Jeep Wagoneer, are now getting electrified spinoffs. (Even if they don't always look quite as sleek as their original inspiration.) Here are side-by-sides of five classic American trucks and their modern counterparts. The Jeep Wagoneer 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and 2024 Electric Jeep Wagoneer SStellantis After a long wait, Jeep released its revival of the classic Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer in 2020. Starting later this year, an electric version of the luxury Jeep SUV will join the Wagoneer lineup. The Chevrolet Blazer A 1973 Chevrolet Blazer and a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVGetty Images, General Motors The Chevrolet Blazer was first rebooted in 2019 as a sporty family SUV. The modern Blazer shares zero resemblance to its boxy, off-roading older sibling, but it has still managed to become one of Chevy's more popular SUVs in recent years. The Blazer EV came later, and was one of the first models GM built on its new Ultium battery platform. The Hummer A Hummer H2 and the 2023 Hummer EV pickup truckGetty Images, General Motors Once the poster child for Detroit's big, bad gas guzzlers, the Hummer got new life as an electric pickup truck in 2021. The Ford Bronco A 1971 Ford Bronco and a 2022 Ford BroncoFord Motor Co. After a rouge group of engineers and designers inside Ford spent years trying to breathe life back into the Blue Oval's boxy off-roader, the Ford Bronco was finally resurrected in 2020 amid a rise in popularity for rugged adventure vehicles. How Ford's light lab keeps the sun shining on the new Mustang just right [w/video]

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

Anyone who's bought one of those old school metal shift knobs knows they're really cool until they sit in a parking lot in the sun for a few hours. Then they're not cool at all. Likewise, features such as the aluminum dash on the 2015 Ford Mustang can be all kinds of neat right up until the sun hits it just the right way and sends shards of blinding light through the cabin. The Ford Visual Performance and Evaluation Lab is where engineers figure out how to make sure that doesn't happen.
Cars like said Mustang are parked inside the 30-foot reflecting dome under 6,000 watts of lights that can mimic the sun at any time of day and in any weather condition. Engineers can then spend cold, overcast days inside, testing for interior legibility, glare and reflections on every interior and exterior surface as if it were bright and sunny. They can also learn how a car's sheetmetal and colors will look out of doors, all year round.
Ford showed off the lighting lab without the music and interviews three years ago when the Explorer was being prepared. You can watch it at work again in the video below, and read about it in the press release below that.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.
