Exterior

The exterior of this Ford is in good overall shape. The body looks straight and the paint is shiny and bright and looks good overall, but it does show some dings, scratches, etc. The tires are a matching set with good tread on the front. The cracked windshield is being replaced. It has the typical scratches/dings/dents/rock chips that you'd expect, that are consistent with age and use on a 2007, but it still has an overall nice look. Please look over our many pictures and give us a call if you have any questions or would like us to do a walk around. We take over 80 pictures of each vehicle.

Interior

The interior of this F150 is in overall good shape. The upholstery looks good overall, but does show some wear and blems. The carpets are in good shape overall, but do show some blems. The headliner has been cleaned and has a good overall look to it. Radio and cruise control is inoperable. Passenger mirror is cracked and being replaced. The air blows cold - we ran it for over 30 minutes while taking pictures. It doesn't appear to have been smoked in as there is no odor of such. It has the typical light scuffs, blems, etc. that you'd expect on a used vehicle, but it still has an overall good look to it, and it certainly looks to have been taken care of. Mechanics

This V8 starts right up and idles fine and has good power and acceleration and drives straight down the road. It has a good solid feel to it. Brakes feel good. We’ve inspected, serviced and detailed it and it’s ready to drive wherever you need.

Comments

We don't have sales people on our ebay listings, so we don't have the typical 30% to 40% costs/markup associated with such, and we don't have huge markups, but feel free to call with any reasonable offers.

Payment

Successful bidder must contact us within 2 days of the close of the auction, and must submit a deposit of $500 within 48 hours of auction end. Delivery/Shipping

You have two major options for delivery. You can either have it shipped, which we can help arrange, or you can pick up the vehicle here at our location. We regularly pick up people at Denver International Airport (DEN) free of charge and bring them to the lot for pickup, as long as you fly in during our business hours. The airport is about 35 minutes from our store, and is about a $100 taxi fare.

We provide a 60 day temporary permit for every vehicle. This is like a 2-month license plate.

We regularly use a shipping company called Diamond Express Transportation. We have shipped several hundred vehicles with them without a single problem over the last 8 years. Financing

Please call us if you have any questions regarding financing options. We only have one bank that will finance out of state, but prefer you use your own bank or Credit Union.

Monsoon rains disrupt production for Ford, BMW in India

Even modern production techniques can be stymied by Mother Nature. This was demonstrated most recently in India, as torrential, monsoon rains caused a deluge that forced multiple automakers to suspend production. Ford, Renault, and BMW all halted work at their Indian facilities around the southern city of Chennai, also known as Madras. The annual rains disrupted public transport around the city, preventing employees from making the trek into city's factories. According to Automotive News, Chennai saw 48 inches of precipitation last month alone, which is more than Seattle, WA saw in all of 2014. While Ford and BMW closed things down for all of December 1, Renault just cancelled a pair of shifts at its Chennai factory. This is the second time in the past month that automakers in southeast India have been forced to stop production due to severe flooding, and things aren't likely to improve. According to The Weather Channel, forecasts call for thunderstorms over five of the next seven days, while the chance of rain won't fall below 80 percent until December 8. Ford, Renault, and BMW are far from the only automakers that could stand to be impacted by the rains. The city has been nicknamed "The Detroit of India" for its extreme automotive presence. Comedian Jay Leno is changing gears from driving fast cars to checking out some of the police cruisers that regularly chase down and dish out punishment to those fast cars. In this episode of Jay Leno's Garage, we get the lowdown on the modifications made to the Ford Explorer for the Interceptor package (which looks pretty tough in its California Highway Patrol livery).
The new Ford is cool, but cooler still are the pack of classic CHP cars that Jay has along for the episode. A 1982 Mustang, 1966 Dodge Polara, 1970 Mercury Monterey and 2000 Crown Victoria are all in the shop. How the Ram Multifunction Tailgate compares to Ford, GMC, Honda

Ram just announced its Multifunction Tailgate — a descriptive if not very creative name. It's an asymmetrical barn-door arrangement, which can both fold down like a conventional tailgate or swing open like a gate. There's a new bed step, but unlike Ford or GM, the step isn't part of the tailgate itself. Rather, it kicks out from under the bumper (as opposed to out from under the driver's side of the rear bumper in its previous incarnation). So let's just focus on the tailgate functionality. A video of the Ram Multifunction Tailgate in action is above. For one, either of the swinging tailgate sections can be opened independently. They open to a full 88 degrees. In conventional flip-down mode, the tailgate works just like a normal one, too, with a 2,000-pound rating. The bottom line is that while it gives a variety of types of access to the load area, it doesn't "do" anything else. It's a $995 option on any Ram 1500. Its closest analogue is the Honda Ridgeline, which works basically the same way, but on that truck the tailgate swings as one piece. And the Honda's load rating isn't as hefty as the Ram's tailgate: 300 pounds. As Honda says, that's sufficient to hold the weight of the part of an ATV hanging out of the bed, or something similar, but it's a lighter-duty unit (and a lighter-duty truck) than the Ram's overall. Let's also get Ford's one-trick tailgate out of the way before comparing to the more analogous, and complicated, GM MultiPro. A bit of trivia: Ford's optional Tailgate Step is actually designed and supplied by Multimatic, better known as the outfit that builds the Ford GT and produces the DSSV spool-valve shocks. This step has been available for years. It pulls out of the top edge of the tailgate when the tailgate is lowered, deploying a single step. A separate handle pulls out from beside the step and flips up, giving a handhold. While it was initially (and infamously) mocked by competitors, with load floor heights as high as they are it's better than toting around a stepstool. It's currently a $375 standalone option. Now we get to the GMC MultiPro tailgate, the most complicated and multi-functioned around. It's essentially a tailgate within a tailgate, with a fold-out stopper that deploys from the inner tailgate. This gives it several functions depending on the position of all the parts. It can still be used like a normal tailgate, dropping down at the push of a button or using the key fob.
